I am proud of the front, but not quite satisfied with the back. Might redo the side patches, too much empty space in my opinion.

This thread inspired me years ago when I first started lurking. Started browsing back when it was on page 40. Thanks for everything, dudes.

Any good patch websites you recommend? The best ones I have come across are Metal Devastation, and Riffs Merchandise (ESPECIALLY for backpatches)

I have ordered from:

Warhead Metal Shop
http://www.warheadshop.webs.com

Very slow handling (as in months), but I got the stuff and it was all in order when I got it. Has some series of bootleg patches (seeing as both the ones you posted carry bootlegs I assume you don't have a problem with that) in stock that practically everyone else has run out of. Order from here only if you find something nobody else has and be prepared to wait for the order. I think the dude that runs this cheaps out on the shipping as much as possible no matter what you pay for.

Astaroth Metal Shop
http://www.astarothmetalshop.com

Ordered from here once. Carries a different series of bootleg patches than everyone else does. Quality varies between patches with some being high quality and some being very bad (look at the image, if it looks sketchy then don't bother with that patch). Handling was very fast. Less than a week from me placing the order the items had already shipped from Ecuador to Sweden. Everything was in order. Got all Items I ordered plus some bonus patches I didn't order.

Abyss Records
http://www.officialabyssrecords.com

Fast and reliable, but most of what's available can be found cheaper at Metal Devastation.

After following this thread in envy for ages, I finally sort of have a contribution. I decided to use a thrift store leather jacket instead of a denim one, but I think it looks alright nonetheless. Plan to keep it black metal themed with a Nattens Madrigal backpatch because that album art is dope. Also have some Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult and Aeternus patches I'm gonna throw on once I get the backpatch so I know where to orient things. Might make another vest with a death/thrash theme because it's fun and sewing is therapeutic.

RTD, I love you man but you need a backpatch for the back, this style just doesn't work in my opinion.

I have some patches laying around, I'll talk to you this week!

Seeing a happy-looking penguin under an Inquisition logo is certainly interesting. Nice Conqueror patch.

Yeah I sort of sewed them on with the "big picture" in mind, i don't plan on wearing it out until I have a backpatch and some shit surrounding the backpatch along the sides and the bottom at the very least, so right now it looks really cluttered. I'm gonna have to just power-order shit until it looks good in time for Messe Des Morts, haha.

posega, I wholeheartedly approve of your band selection (need to get BAN and Summoning patches for my jacket as well), not so much your hockey team selection. I cracked up when I saw that though.

Gotta rep the home team, man. Though I do admit to being somewhat baffled by just why everyone seems to hate the Pens.

This is my old jacket. I spent a lot of time working on the paintings but it's gone now, due to some serious damage done to it.

Please excuse the Snapchat annotations. I didn't feel like taking more pictures haha.

But yeah, a friend recently gave me his vest so I've been excited as hell to start putting patches on it. I have zero experience with any kind of sewing, so I'll admit that I had my mom use her sewing machine to patch them on while I watched and asked questions. I'll need to practice fixing some of my t-shirts before I trust my ability to sew patches on a vest.

The Demolition Hammer "back patch" was previously a t-shirt that was too small on me, so I figured it'd look better on a vest and cut the design off the front. I also have one D.R.I. Thrash Zone patch that I haven't put on yet because I want to put it on one of the front pockets, so I'll see about getting that hand sewed on instead of machine sewed.

Why not just have her teach you? Maybe 10 minutes of practice with some scraps and you'll be able to sew patches. Machines are super easy to use.

I intend to do that at some point, I just wanted to watch the process this first time.

Sometimes people who sell on etsy do custom work.

As far as I know Bolt Thrower only sell official merch at their shows, so their isn't much stuff by them available online. (official stuff at least). So unless you can make one of their Canada shows in June then they will be hard to track down, and not cheap.

I wouldn't even care about an unofficial patch at this point, but they're impossible to find too. I probably won't be able to make it to one of the Canadian shows. Maybe I'll try to email some bootleggers and have them make a patch for me.

I have an extra bootleg of Realm of Chaos, woven. I'll take a picture later, interested?

I decided not to put any patches on the front, just pins. Unfortunately you can't make any of them out, but I assure you they're cool.

I got it at a clothing store at the mall called Forever 21. It's mostly girls clothing but some of the bigger stores have a men's section. You might be able to get it online from them.

I've said in this thread before regarding that jacket, you get what you pay for. The denim is decent, but the buttons start falling off after a couple weeks. You're better off buying a used one of better quality at a thrift store/ebay.

That looks very similar to the one I got from Asos.com. I've had no problems with this so far (had it for a year) and the buttons are fine. Although, I haven't yet put my patches up and chopped off the sleeves. I've been using it as a regular jacket. It's pretty good material if I must say so.

You probably just got stuck with a lemon, narsilian. I've had mine for a few months now and have yet to run into any problems.

So two patches on the back are sewn on now. Both are very slightly off center and irritate me very much.

Image
And a little Abigor patch on the front. Ignore the feet!

I'm not really sure where to go from here. Maybe some studs on the shoulders? I dunno. These things require finesse. And probably more patches!
