Metallica – Through the Never

Best song on the black album imo

This thread needs more Yngwie.

Yngwie Malmsteen - What Do You Want

One of his best and most underrated songs.

Talking Heads - Remain in Light

A seemingly great band I'm still trying to fully wrap my head around. "Once in a Lifetime" is an unforgettable song, though its overtly chart-topping sensibilities make it stand out quite a bit from the rest. The other songs will take longer to click, it seems.

Ehnahre - "The Clatterbones"

This album Taming the Cannibals is awesome - somehow these guys managed to take the dissonant doomy-death formula and push it into territory so psychotic that it starts bleeding over into Khanate. Everyone needs to hear this - a difficult, yet immensely satisfying listen.

Nokturnal Mortum-By the Path of the sun

Amazing, proof you can streamline your sound and still sound absolutely amazing.

Rippikoulu - Pimeys Yllä Jumalan Maan
I don't know what this means but this track is very doomy compared to the rest of the songs from this band's album. Great stuff. Highly recommended.

Nightingale - Higher than the Sky

Breathing Shadow is pretty underrated, even by Nightingale standards. Terrific atmosphere, and of course the whole album has some of Swano's best lower register singing.

Thy Majestie - End of the Days, off ShiHuangDi

This song, along with the one predecing it (Ephemeral), and the one after it (Requiem) are an incredible way to end this album. I know that it's a conceptual work, and thus all songs are connected, but the last three..... They are magical. This record is seriously awesome, and I utterly recommend it to everyone who is at least remotely interested in modern power metal. Thanks again for telling me about it, Empyreal!

Does it have riffs? If you'll reply with a yes I might check it out.

NP: Crimson Glory - In Dark Places

Been in a Crimson Glory mood lately. This rules so hard: the hard hitting intro riff catches your attention right away. :headbang:

Well..... Actually, they emphasize melodies and vocal hooks much more, coupled with a thing for somewhat cinematic symphonics. You won't be thinking "Man, this are some good fucking riffs" while listening to it. It's more of a songwriting/musicianship thing.
