Absolutely chilling. This album just throws me into an old english forest and doesn't let me go for an hour

Amazing stuff....!

Sol Invictus - Fall Like Rain

Love this, perfect on a rainy and cold evening.

I know well the feeling, may the spanning tree protocol be with you!

Pentangle - House Carpenter

Still in the old english forest, no real desire to come back :)

Arch/Matheos - Vermilion Moons

Unquestionably album of the year for me so far. I can't get enough. The density of these compositions, the way they thrive and pulsate and shift like homunculi, and the epic melody sense, just keep blowing me away. I've really never heard anything like this.

Darkthrone - The Hardship of the Scots

God dammit, is this song awesome! It has really grown on me. It has got 10/10 riffs and excellent song structure. That emotional lead around 4:13 sends shivers down my spine.

Wage Slave - Lich King

I like this a lot more than I expected to. It's got that good crunchy guitar.

Drowning the Light - Haunting Whispers in the Desert Sands

Raw and melodic as always from this band, and with a touch of sorrow.
Great stuff.

Same. Might have to end my over ten year streak of not buying Darkthrone albums. Slaying and heavy, pretty much like the old times.

Arkham Witch - David Lund

Really rocking heavy doom with a Lovecraftian theme/feeling.

Deathspell Omega - The Furnaces of Palingenesia

Only just started 'Splinters from Your Mother's Spine' but honestly, if the rest of the album keeps up like this they'll have yet another winner on their hands.

Leviathan Massive Conspiracy Against All Life
I played this so much when it came out that I burned-out. Grabbed it by accident (really, there are no accidents, I suppose, in a cosmic sense.)
Great shit here!
Too bad my Tee is in extremis.

Pyrexia - Sermon of Mockery 1993

Never gets old. Not just a simple Suffocation clone like some unimaginative people claim.

Burzum - En Ring Til Å Herske

This was always my fave from the album. Slow, sorrowful and dreamlike. Always thought it was about the infamous black circle, but it can't be, the ultimate bearer of all truths said that the circle didn't exist. :)

Saint Vitus - s/t 2019

This is such a great album. The grime and filth are palpable. Rather than a bunch of guys just paying tribute to themselves, it's genuinely depraved. They sound like they've spent the last seven years in a basement feeding on wild animals.

Drudkh - Blood

The Swan Road album is so overlooked. I think the harsh production and a shitty 1st song scare off many potential listeners. There are some beautiful melodies and riffs to be found.

Misþyrming - Algleymi

This is the undisputable album of the year for me. It even managed to outdo the band's debut album, which was a pretty laborious task to do. Perfection. Simply love these Icelandic boys!

Therion - Via Nocturna

I feel like "Deggial" is one of the more underrated albums from their symphonic era. Love the atmosphere and feel of it.

I missed most of mortuary, but saw the chasm and they were pretty good too, but fleshcrawl just fucking rocked it man. I was headbanging my ass off, and the only song I even knew was the carnage cover.

Project Arcadia - Shelter Me

Such a good album. urban breed was on fire. Great vocal harmonies and some cool straight-ahead riffing.
