Motörhead - (We Are) The Road Crew

The best Motörhead song, no doubt.
Me and my friend always play this when we are heavy drunk and about to head out to a concert.

''Another drink completely blind,
Another hotel I can't find,''

Devin Townsend - Evermore

Say what you will, but Empath might just be HevyDevy's magnum opus. Not a bad track on this album.

Gatecreeper - Boiled Over

I listened to their debut and liked it, so I put this one on too. It's not nearly as fun, if I'm being honest.

Listening to the new Ragnarok album right now. Currently on the track "The Great Destroyer". Haven't heard anything too memorable yet.

Eluveitie- Grey Sublime Archon

I've been revisiting this album (Slania) a bit over the last few weeks, and damn- it's fucking beautiful. Aged like fine wine, gets better with time.

Magnum - Sacred Hour

I finally checked out the song that Stian Aarstad of Dimmu Borgir ripped off for the Stormblåst album. I'm glad I did. This is cheesy as hell, but fun!

Cradle of Filth - To Eve the Art of Witchcraft

"The Principle of Evil Made Flesh" is probably my least favorite of the classic-era COF albums, though I still think it's pretty damn good, this song especially. I just also think they truly found their sound on the "V Empire" EP.

Arrayan Path - Empress

Dawn of Aquarius might be their best one. This is just such a massive feast of everything good about the power metal genre.

Sauron - Thrash Assault

This is an all-out riff fest for the most part, but I'm on "March of the Vandals" right now and this song is shaking it up with some slower, more melodic/epic riffing. Any fan of black/thrash or death/thrash who doesn't mind mucky production should enjoy this.

Neil Young - Prairie Wind
Rolling Stones - Goats Head Soup (Not on of their better albums, but it has a couple really good songs (Angie & Star Star)).
Bob Seger - Night Moves (Good, but it's no "Stranger In Town", which I LOVE).
Anthrax - Sound of White Noise (I like it a lot more than I expected to! But it sounds like an Armored Saint album to me, because of John Bush being the singer)!
Michael Schenker Group - MSG

Rush - Vapor Trails

This is fucking solid. They were so damn tight and hooky in the later years and I like how they kept evolving.

It took me a while to start listening to VT, having spent so much time with Clockwork Angels, but it's a really great album too. "One Little Victory" on the remixed version sounds like the heaviest Rush has ever been. Across that whole album you can really feel the band's excitement at getting back together after their hiatus.

It's been years since I tried this one - lost it when I switched computers years back. It's got a lot of great stuff. It's very rare for an album to be this long and be so engaging throughout, with no fatigue or dip in quality. The title song and "The Stars Look Down" were standouts.

Gojira - L'Enfant Sauvage

Jangly, aggressive, barking stuff. Not my usual wheelhouse but intriguing enough for what it is.

I'm really digging VOW's latest album; great stuff. For fans of Agalloch, WITTR, etc.

Devin Townsend - Consciousness Causes Collapse

Feeling a bit shitty today, so I'm giving The Hummer a spin. Fantastic record. It's astonishing how much it can calm a person.

Paladin- Ascension.

Metal just the way I like it: fast, pissed off and melodic to boot. Lots of generally really cool, shreddy guitar work too. The album also features some melodic death metal elements to pair with the power / thrash proceedings which, while interesting, aren't entirely warranted.

Children of Bodom - Downfall

Been digging back through the first two records in light of the recent shenanigans. Fast, sharp, with sweet lead work. :np:

I think I'll send a copy of this album to my very Mormon uncle.

Phaserland - Flip the Switch

Opening track of the latest Phaserland album and there's already yet another Phaserland and synthwave track added to my favourites.

Meshuggah - Born In Dissonance

Pretty interesting actually... just this unrelenting wall of sound and technicality. I don't know how often I'd play this but it's something for sure. I can see how it'd appeal to fans. The vocals and guitars are certainly fucking rabid and heavy.

I need to get the remix of that. One of the few holes in my Rush collection. OLV is a smoking tune.

:np: Blind Guardian - The Curse of Feanor

So majestic and powerful.

Sáwol's newest album Past The Gate just arrived yesterday and I'm listening to it now. Very good melodeath that is both moody and upbeat/hopeful.

Wings - Greatest
Elvis Costello - This Years Model
Rose Tattoo - Assault and Battery (THIS RULES!!!!!!!!!!! They sound like a more "redneck" AC/DC!)
AC/DC - Rock or Bust ( I think this is one of their under-rated ones).
38 Special - Tour De Force (not as Southern Rock as their earlier one I've heard, but it's good 80's radio rock).

Mystery Blue - s/t

The guitars on here are to die for; just gloriously groovy and acrobatic and melodious. So damn good. Somewhere between 70s Priest and early Maiden. Vocals are rough but not bad at all. Liking this a lot.
