Necromantia - Invictus

Aaah, my favorite Greek band.
IV: Malice is great, although I usually put on the two first albums.

Poison - Yog-Sothoth

Early ripping thrash/death metal with four long tracks ranging from seven to nine minutes long. This really shouldn't work but it surely does.

Saint Vitus - Living Backwards

And album just as old as myself!
Awesome, really bleak doom.

Vaakevandring - Og Sorgen Stilnet I Smertens Vann

I wish they made more tunes than just their one EP, but it's a good'un.

Cradle of Filth - The Raping of Faith

Demos still have an amazing atmosphere!

Tomb Mold - Manor of Infinite Forms

Was expecting boring and over-hyped cavernous death metal...but got the exact opposite! Remains fairly engaging throughout. Color me surprised.

Darkthrone - I Muffle Your Inner Choir

First real listen. So far so good. This does feel more Ravishing Grimness than the other later DT records I've heard.

The Chasm - Deathcult for Eternity: The Triumph

Does anyone else think that this sounds very similar to 90s Cradle of Filth with some added dissonant guitar lines, or is it just me? This has a very black metal atmoosphere too.

Esoteric - Disconsolate

Desolation Defined... One of the darkest and heaviest songs I have ever heard and is probably the song that defines Funeral Doom for me.

''No Mercy'' and ''I'm the Hateful Raven'' remind me more of Immortal than anything else.

NP: The Gathering - Strange Machines

This dream-like atmosphere is one of a kind.

Deep Purple - Highway Star

Still utterly badass. The conviction and flair are just unmatched.

Celestiial - Lamentations in the Citadel of God

Surprisingly relaxing nature driven Funeral Doom! More atmospheric than guitar driven this time around!

Death Angel - Aggressor

Liking this album so far. Not quite as good as Dream but I think better than the last one, which was solid.

Vader - Emptiness

They've must have actually sold their souls to the devil to pull off this type of top quality so far into their career. It's unbelievable. :headbang:

Kreator - Side by Side

Well, it's Pride Month, so why not? This one's certainly fitting (and it's just a damn good song any other time of the year).

Christ Agony - Darkthurnal (Eternal Shouts)

Fifteen minutes of majestic darkness - and a shitload of riffs, too! This is the kind of black metal that I like and the track feels rather shorter than it actually is. Very cool stuff.

Bob Dylan - Hurricane

Digging the tropical drums and upbeat vibe of this - a formidable song. His lyrical style is so damn engaging. Must have taken a long time to get it down to play this kind of shit live.

Victorius - Empire of the Dragonking

I'm a little late to hearing this album, but it's pretty good. It doesn't really have much personality, but there are a few really catchy songs, and the album doesn't overstay its welcome.

This album is actually fantastic. One of his best for sure. It's not particularly over the top, but the songwriting is great.
