Alice in Chains - Grind

This is such an evocative album. The strongest of their original three...I discovered it last year during a very difficult time, and though I never had time to listen to it that much due to simply being very busy, it's one of the most emotional and bleak albums I've ever heard.

Opeth - Wreath (Royal Albert Hall version)

Those blast beats at the end are what make me like this version more than the studio version. They just fit so perfectly.

Saturnus - Rain Wash Me

There really needs to me more melodic death/doom like these guys and My Dying Bride. Because I must have more.

My most recent pickup:

Teddy Pendergrass - TP

A soul classic. At the very least, check out Love TKO.

Cultes des Ghoules - The Passion of a Sorceress

I'm in the mood for some very dark and gloomy music today.

Conception - Gethsemane

More laid back than their previous albums but still quite decent. Just a bummer not the entire album is on the same level as this one as far as quality goes.

Kreator-Pleasure To Kill

Was reminded of its existence today and decided to listen to it. Its pretty incredible how it still manages to be so intense almost 30 years after its initial release. Can't imagine how this must have blown peoples minds back in 1986.

Motorhead - Smiling like a Killer

I feel like Lemmy and Co. have consistently released sleazy heavy metalpunk since their inception and I love it.

I know I should probably just be listening to Blue Oyster Cult, but dammit it's just too catchy, I can't help it. "Hail Satan, welcome your seeeeeeed ohhhhhhh".

I recently got into Ahab, I must say their guitar and vocal work are just otherwordly, truly amazing combination
of overwhelming and crushing distortions with sweet, ethereal cleans, same for the vocals.
Not a single bland song in their entire discography.
