Crown of Thorns - The Serpent Garden

Melodic death metal that's actually got some attitude - pretty mean and vicious stuff here.

Cradle of Filth - Born in a Burial Gown

Symphonic black metal or extreme metal of some sort? Who cares! It rips!

Megadeth - 'Ashes in Your Mouth'

Never was entirely sold on the album, but this song is an unsung classic.

Can - "Yoo Doo Right"

Considering my taste for avant-garde, you'd think Can would be a natural fit. But I simply haven't been able to get into it. The vocals are part of the problem, especially on albums like Tago Mago. I don't find them so much offensive as simply bad.

This album was a whole hell of a lot better than what I remembered. It got mostly poor to average reviews on here, but I'd rank it way higher than Edge of Thorns, which sits at an 86% currently. Also, Joseph Michael of Witherfall and Sanctuary released a cover of "Chance" from the same album just yesterday.

Judas Priest - Painkiller

Judas Priest are one of the bands that got me into metal in the first place. I enjoy listening to this album every once in a while, although I consider their 70's albums to be their best.

I love that album. Actually it's my favorite Bruce's LP.

Infernal Conjuration - Tremendous Plague

I want to like this album but so far it falls into the ''new old school death metal band that seems to be alright background'' category.

I could strangle this vocalist and not feel an ounce of shame or guilt afterwards - the fact that he's a philosophy professor at a community college is just icing on the cake. All jokes aside, this is a fun little album; but I wouldn't hurl no 90% review at it or anything ridiculous like that.

Eternity's End - Unyielding

This is a shockingly good album and the fact that more PM fans are not talking about this is bizarre to me. Both their albums are damn good.

Good Riddance - Our Great Divide

Well, this new album certainly sounds like Good Riddance. A bit more intense than the last couple albums, but still pretty damn melodic and catchy. And now, we wait on the new Strung Out album since this is apparently 1997 (there were also those new Millencolin and Bad Religion albums earlier this year so...yeah). Anyway, I like it.

Endthisday - A Testimony of Failure

I found this track on an old OLD mixed CD i made from back in the day of downloading single songs on file sharing networks. I had dozens and dozens of these metal mixes. I still have almost all of them, amazingly.

One of many "one and done" thrash metal bands of the late 1980s/early 1990s. This is a pretty enjoyable album on the melodic end of the thrash metal spectrum. It would have been nice to have heard a second album from them, but alas, it never came to be.

Ah, sorry about that!
It's a little darker red then the cover yes.

Kringa - Pearly Gates, Abhorrent Ascent

Abigail is the best album ever, Really.

Every second of the album is epic.

Muse - Supermassive Black Hole

This is one of my favorite albums. Dudes knew how to lay down a fucking killer riff back then, and the hooks were unparalleled.

Now there's a fucking truth! My first love with the band, and it still stands. "Them" and Conspiracy are very close, though.
