YEARS since I don't listen to Satyricon! I lost respect for the band since (2002) Satyricon - Volcano. 10 fucking years of shit!

Tempest from (2012) Deftones - Koi No Yokan.
Amazing band and amazing works despite Chino's tragedy! Stay strong and hold tight, boys!

I'm with you! I stick to the first three albums. 'Volcano' was just... eh. Everything's been so mediocre ever since they released that.

Perfectly understandable, seeing how that album is an epitome of all things death metal.

Symphony X - Light Up the Night, off Iconoclast

The drumming here is so furious that it threatens with turning into full blown blast beats at a moment's notice. It never does, but for some reason, the mere feeling of tension makes the song sound even more violent.

It sounds like Death Magnetic, with a bit more of the blues influence from Load/Reload. I enjoyed it.

Classic French metal is amazing. Blaspheme and Sortilege are my personal favorites, buy High Power is good too.

Yeah, I can see that. I mean, I was just checking out this album, song by song, and then stumbled upon this monstrously demonic epic of a tune. It came out of fucking nowhere, and it's so powerful it's baffling.

Riff after riff and an awesome chorus. Just really strong material.

Deathspell Omega - Abscission

I was originally trying to fall asleep, so I put my iPod on, but now I'm realizing DsO was a bad choice since I've been staring at the ceiling aurally dissecting the hell out of "Paracletus." Just so much content musically, its insane.

Celtic Frost - Procreation (of the Wicked), off Morbid Tales

The outlandish riffs are almost mesmerizing here. The Sabbath influence is palpable, yet very corrupted and twisted.
