They're all CDs. 'Out of Order' is the 1991 Combat Records version, and 'Survive' is the 1988 I.R.S. Metal release. I'm wondering if this copy of 'Survive' is rare, now that I look at it.... Any idea?

quite possibly yeah, i just have the lp

i just saw there's an unofficial one too... a bootleg alert smiley would be cool :|

it's on the first page here too [different version though] http://heavymetalcd.com/Top_Rare_Metal_CDs.html

Nothing weird about that purchase. I don't have anything by Destroyer, but that Rush album is awesome.

Also, good call on the guy who bought that Caravan album. I've been needing to add that to my collection for a while. "If I could do it all over again," I would.

Quite a bit, yes, but some fairly accurate bootlegs have knocked down its value a few notches.

Yeah but the 1997 remastered reissue sounds like shit. Is that remastered? On discogs doesn't show that it is, you may be lucky :)

This post made me curious, so I went and checked out the CD/DVD Roadrunner reissue from my own shelf. I see a copyright notice on this for 2005, and the liner notes don't mention anything about remastering, so yeah, enigma dodged a bullet if we have the same version and the '97 pressing really is that bad.

My jealousy has skyrocketed with those Scanner discs. Do you have the first two albums as well?

They weren't even that expensive, Mental Reservation and Ball of the Damned were about 12-13€ incl. shipping each while Scantropolis was 5€ in the used record store.
And yes i have the first two as well, but on vinyl. Scantropolis is a cool album, i like the female vocals, but nothing beats the debut! :metal:

Bad Religion-30th Anniversary Vinyl Box Set

15 LPs, all translucent red vinyl. Recreations of original presses where applicable, and from what I understand, these are the first vinyl presses for some of the mid-period Atlantic Records albums. All 15 albums released up until 2010 (including the rare album Into The Unknown, their lone foray into prog rock). It is supposedly limited to 3000 worldwide, but it is not numbered. And the box contains space to add albums as they are released. Naturally, I preordered the new album True North in translucent red vinyl to match the set (that record is due in January 2013, and the red vinyl is supposedly limited to 1000 worldwide)

Needless to say, I got my work cut out for me.

My girlfriend bought me that as a gift a couple years ago, it is awesome. The perfect way to check out all the BR albums I hadn't gotten around to yet. Into the Unknown makes me laugh.

I ordered directly from the band's website. $175 US for the set, $10 US for shipping. Most other retailers have it at $215-$225 US before shipping.

Not to mention that all 15 LPs are 180g.

I literally just dropped the needle on Into The Unknown as I went to reply to dreadmeat. I am astounded by what I am hearing to say the least  . Truly, truly a bizarre listen.

29 songs? o_O

Anyway, the first CD apparition of Scum would be on the 54 track 1988 edition of FETO.

Went on vacation in Oklahoma again, raided the local record store. Less nice stuff this time compared to last, but whatever, I'm happy.

Image

  • Drogheda - Pogromist (found it in a bargain bin for $3...it's apparently 90s deathgrind on Wild Rags, so why not give it a shot?)
  • OutKast - ATLiens
  • Suicide Silence - The Black Crown box set (came with a pendant, patch, bonus track and button)

I'm starting to realise that I'm really awful at this "being a metalhead" stuff.

Just grabbed my copy and the interesting thing is, on the front cover, FETO is on the visible part and Scum in the inner section of the jewel case. The backcover first shows the song titles of Scum and then afterwards FETO. The CD Spine says "FETO" + "Scum" and on the CD itself the Scum Tracks come first (according to the tracklist on the back cover).
Matrix number is "Mosh CD 8 MPO 01 @@@".

But I noticed several errors on Discogs, so I wouldn't really consider this page as reliable source. It might be 90% correct but some times critical information is definitely wrong.

well I tried some updates on Discogs but the mods there are extremely bureaucratic and in a lot of cases don't have a clue about the music so I almost gave it up making changes there.
