I've done well with my B-Day money the past week.

Faith No More - Angel Dust
At The Gates - Terminal Spirit Disease
Jerry Cantrell - Boggy Depot
Decrepit Birth - Diminishing Between Worlds

^ Got these from a sale at a Vintage Stock.

Dark Angel - Leave Scars: Finally my first hard copy of one of their albums. Got it from ebay for only $6!
Excetra - Water: Nice thrash metal, mostly midpace. Just a random demo from ebay. That, and the title "Water" sounded different for a thrash demo.
Prospect - Reaching Out: Hardcore, not thrash metal as stated in the archives, and pretty good. Another demo I've been watching on ebay since the cover looked interesting. Barely know anything about hc, but they remind me a bit of Burn with more of the "tough guy" sound to it.
Neuroblast - Millennium Beyond Comprehension demo '99: Another cheap demo I got from ebay. Well nicely done, very brief and very brutal death metal.

Blind purchasing demos sure is fun. Especially if no mp3s or info can be found, just further enhances the surprise. :D

I think it is pretty good so far. If you liked La Mort du Prince Noir, you'll probably like that EP too, pretty much in the same vein. Special mention to that piano outro, I like it very much!

Managed to find some decent prices for once on CD's and had a bit of spare dough so ended up splashing £22 on 3 CD's

Carapathian - Nothing To Lose -
Wolves In The Throne Room - Black Cascade
Wolves In The Throne Room - Two Hunters

Was plesently suprised with the the prices of the two WIITR CD's (£8 each) as last time I took a look at one of their CD's it was £18. Then again that was in HMV

Iskra-Bureval (CD version)

Holy shit. This is without a doubt one of the most lethal, vicious, and intense records I've heard in a long time. Had I got this in 2009 when it was released, it would have easily been top 3 material for the year.

Very good sir. I got Giant Steps on LP a while ago, as well as I'm The Man. I really want Altar but it's 120$, and that's a small fortune for me -_-;

$120? You must be looking at one of the limited versions of it; I bought the regular CD version for 12 bucks. Unfortunately it excludes the bonus tracks, but I don't think they're worth that much.

Age Of Taurus - In The Days Of The Taurean Empire (demo)
Top-notch traditional doom with all the right riffs. I'm really looking forward to their first full release.

A co-worker of mine was cleaning out his old storage unit and came across some old records that he was getting rid of. He gave me all of these for $20. I know only a couple are actually metal but I figured it was worth a mention.

ACDC - Back In Black
ACDC - Blow Up Your Video
Def Leppard - Hysteria
Elvis - You'll Never Walk Alone
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden
Led Zeppelin - Physical Grafiti
Led Zeppelin - House of The Holy
Meat Loaf - Dead Riner
Ozzy Osbourne - Diary of a Madman
Pink Floyd - The Darkside of The Moon
Simon & Garfunkel - Greatest Hits
Styx - Equino

About to place another order to DarkHorizon:

Blood Of The Black Owl "Blood Of The Black Owl"
Branikald "Winterkald"
Dissection "Storm Of The Light's Bane"
Imperium Dekadenz "..Und Die Welt Ward Kalt Und Leer"
October Falls "Sarastus"
Trimonium "Of Warriors And Heroism"
Trimonium "Blow The Horns"
Sig:Ar:Tyr "Sailing The Seas Of Fate"

Total comes to 90.00, but the discount throws it down to about 60.00. Feels pretty good man.

I explored a huge flea market today, they had an impressive collection of records (mostly vinyl, but also a fair amount of CDs), so I ended up purchasing 12 CDs all in all.

The metallic ones among those are:

The Project Hate MCMXCIX - When We Are Done, Your Flesh Will Be Ours
This stood out between various techno samplers and Schlager-crap, so I just had to rescue it. Near mint condition and only 2 € at that.

Skull Crusher - The Darkside Of Humanity
Anybody know this band? Never heard of them before, they're apparently a Styrian oldschool death metal act who released two albums in the 90s, this being the first. Again, discovered as a lonely obscure metal release amidst loads of Gigi D'Agostino, Fetenhits and such.

Motörhead - Iron Fist
Motörhead - Bomber
Motörhead - March Ör Die
Deicide - Amon: Feasting The Beast
Necrophagia - Cannibal Holocaust
Cult Of Shadows - From Maelstrom (demo)

Not much of a haul this weekend. Found the following:

Brutality - Screams of Anguish (CD)

Obscura - Retribution (Remastered CD)

Not sure how I feel about Obscura yet, not a bad release, just a little too polished for me. Was an implulse buy.

Still waiting for a bunch of stuff from CM Distro. About to have some strong words with my post man! :fuck:

I was holding off on ordering the newest Throneum because I thought Yosuke would eventually pick up a couple. As usual he came through:

Throneum - Deathcult Conspiracy
Abhorrence - Evoking the Abomination
Assault (Chl) - Nuclear Deathrash
Master - s/t (CD/DVD)

Stuff I picked up over the weekend:

Acheron - Compendium Diablerie - The Demo Days

Grind Madness at the BBC
I was so excited about this one I even paid full price for it! The Bolt Thrower tracks are awesome. Bench definitely got proper space in the mix for the live stuff, that shit is devastating.

I was actually hoping the Napalm Death and ExNxT tracks would be a bit clearer than their early recorded stuff but its all still pretty fucking raw. A bit of a disappointment but its still interesting to hear. Wish there were more Unseen Terror tracks.

Couple items from Record and Tape Traders:

Image

Dark Angel - Leave Scars, I've heard Darkness Descends and liked it, but have yet to hear this, although it appears to be highly regarded as well. I seem to love the thrash metal albums that have a touch of death in them, so this should be good for me. Also, it is some kind of limited digipack edition, it would be nice to know more information on it, if anyone knows anything more about it.

Meshuggah - Alive, A pretty bad ass DVD/CD release by Meshuggah. I've been meaning to get this for awhile now, and I'm really excited about this! They end the DVD on possibly my favorite Meshuggah song as well (Straws Pulled at Random).
