Does anybody like this label? I think they are one of the best in Canada. They exclusively focus on the Quebecois black metal scene, which is rich in talented bands. The best known band on the label would probably be Gris. Metal heads might also be familiar with Sombres Forets, Neige et Noirceur, Forteresse and Monarque, all of which are great. I don't know what it is about Quebec, but it seems to be a breeding ground for good black metal. So, what do you guys think of Sepulchral Productions?

I'm a fan, yes.

Not only do they sign and press some great acts, their distro capacity is fairly impressive. I've ordered from them more than a few times. The fact you can find some really great stuff there for a reasonable price is cool; the fact that there's not shipping charge to the U.S. is even cooler.

For those that haven't heard of them here is some examples of the type of music they release:

Gris - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvbroNo-g5I

Sombres Foret - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLpf6ckX6G0

Neige et Noirceur - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czl0mhkD5UU

Forteresse - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-l2UlaYuNMg

Sui Caedere - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21brhV4g ... re=related

I think Gris is by far the best, with their second album being the best, but I know a few people here would vehemently disagree with me on that. Still, I love the way they mix classical instruments with depressive black metal. Neige et Noirceur's new album has been on heavy rotation lately, very diverse and has some really great songs. Sombres Foret is great depressive black metal with heavy attention to atmosphere. Sombres Foret and Gris did an album together and called the band Miserere Luminis, which is pretty good.

I think they might beat Profound Lore for the title of best Canadian metal record label, though.

I haven't heard of this label or any of these bands 'til now, but so far I'm digging this Gris song. Thanks for the heads-up. I'll definitely have to pick some of their stuff up once I've gotten my financial situation cleared up.

They might be releasing a new album this year. Their last one was in 2007. I have my fingers crossed.

Seems that they're mainly a DSBM label. Not interested in that, and Gris just bores the hell out of me. Still, I'm always in support of underground metal labels, even if they don't sign my favorite styles.

Utlagr, Frozen Shadows, Monarque & Misere Luminis are not DSBM at all...

Also: being from Quebec I can say: total support to this label. The guy behind it is also a very nice/trustworthy/knowledgeable person. They also have a few gems in their distro as well hehe.

Yeah they do have a lot of DSBM, but they have other styles of black metal as well.

Resuming this thread because both Deletere and monarque are on the road again with two new ep's, both on Sepulchral of course. Monarque's " jusqu'a la mort" is an overall 2019 standout for anybody into black metal fast, furious yet with great melodic riffs, deletere are mostly dedicated to fans of Gris and the like, slower and more depressive.

Support this label, ultra-fast with worldwide shipping too ( less than a week from Canada to Italy)

Just want to say Frozen Shadows’ “Dans Les Bras Des Immortels” is one of my all time favourite black metal albums. So I definitely have Sepulchral Productions to thank for releasing that glorious album.
