Is this the reason why he kisses other dudes?

I thought that this was pretty well known.

What his manager said recently about his weight gain:

"Just so you know, that is actually something brought on by his medication, and can't be controlled through normal means of a healthy diet or working out.
The only option would be to leave out a medication and that really isn't possible if everyone wants to stay alive and well. 
He takes more than one medication daily but the weight gain is most likely caused by his high dosage of Zyprexa, or olanzapine as it is also known."

Well, it might be. He is also Bipolar so that can also contribute to different types of behavior. And He drinks excessive and have taken a lot of drugs in the past, which doesn't mix well with these diseases. But I don't know the guy, so I wouldn't know.

A friend of mine who is bipolar used to try to touch me in sexual ways when he was drunk, and kiss me and stuff. Which when sober disgusted him. Then later he got worse, at a party he took and beat he's own brother and some other friends of he's severely, stole his mothers car, and wrecked it. After he did these last things he had to quit to drink all together and start taking a strong medication. So I know how bipolarity can make people behave especially under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Or both Niklas Kvarforth and your friend could be bi sexual or gay. Manic phases in bi polar have little to do with your orientation, just how much sex you want (sometimes, manic phases can cause asexuality).

Schizos are the truly out-there people. Not all of them are, but the very out-there people tend to be schizos.

I have recently heard the rumor that Niklas Kvarforth of Shining has schizophrenia. I am interested in knowing if there is any truth to this. I am asking because I am fairly new to Shining and I enjoy their music. However, I also know that their vocalist has a reputation for "performance art", let's call it. If it happens that you know someone that suffers from emotional stress i think its much better to visit a behavioural therapist just like the one from this link.

I am asking because I am fairly new to Shining and I enjoy their music. However, I also know that their vocalist has a reputation for "performance art", let's call it.

Don't know if this is good enough for you! I take that. I did gain weight when I started taking it, but only up to a healthy range, 150-170 (Lifting weights for years). Before I was like 115, again with a lot of muscle since I was lifting. I think I gained the weight not due to the drug, but by it clearing my depression and allowing me to eat more than 600 calories a day. If it truly is on the drug he'd have to be on a huge dose to become obese and not respond to diet/exercise; which I guess meets up with the rumours and image. He could just be a trolling middle aged Black Metaller who loves beer and whiskey.

As a borderline schizophrenic who refuses to take the medication the doctor's offer, life can certainly get a little bizarre/scary at times. During my worst episodes I generally try to avoid human interaction altogether. While I'm not a fan of Shining, and particularly not a fan of Kvarforth's antics , I understand what he's going through and wish him the best.

But I know that behaving in these ways without being gay, can also be the case. Because when you are manic you can also do things you normally wouldn't do and even regret when you come to your depressed state. Also just drinking alcohol, when you have these traits, can cause something as severe as a psychosis or less severe as alcohol delirium.

What you need to understand about Niklas/Shining is that he is someone who pushes the limits of artistic expression. I doubt he's gay, he might suffer from mental illness (emphasis on MIGHT). I don't really care honestly. He's an amazing guy who understands life better than 99% of the world.

I'm a fan of Shining's music and yea I remember reading in some magazine where they had interviews on Erik from Watain and Niklas featured. In the interview Niklas confirmed he was bi-polar/schizo/whatever, I believed it but I know it's possible he may have been yanking everyone's chain. After all, he's said some pretty outlandish shit before.

I am not sure about this neither but if in case this news is true then I feel really bad for Niklas, I also wonder what's the triggering factor of this kind of condition. This is very alarming and I wish there's going to be an easy cure for this kind of condition.
