Yes, it's probably gonna be released in 2013 based on what Howie says, here's a demo track, it's freaking good.

Ahh, so we've actually got a date to look forward to now? Man, March can't come fast enough. I liked what I heard on the latest split: Ogień wilczych serc, so I'm definitely excited for it.

Thanks for the track; that was FREAKING good indeed! If the rest of the album is close to this in quality, it will surely be one of the best albums to be released this year. Absolutely stoked.

That Briton Rites track was tasty indeed. I'll be sure to check that one out.

Is there anyone else looking forward to Ade's second album, Spartacus? I haven't heard anyone really talk about it yet (unless I'm blind and missed it) which I found slightly odd considering George Kollias is playing on it and he is what? One of the most praised drummers in modern death metal? But anyways, their first album was pretty damn fine and the track they've released from this album so far was awesome too. Definitely one of my anticipated records this year.

New Portal is fantastic. Probably my favorite since Seepia.

New Enforcer is also fantastic. My favorite of theirs probably.

Who else is excited for the Sacriphyx and Grave Upheaval LPs? I think these two are the ones I'm excited for the most as of right now.

No excitement for the Sacriphyx LP, simply because I am not at all an enthusiast for this band's particular Hellenic-styled music. As for Grave Upheaval, I can barely remain patient at all. I can't count how many times I've spun GU's side of the GU / Manticore split - and only theirs!

Also, although I can only presume that it could be of interest to you because of your anticipation of GU's full-length, I urge you to keep and eye out for the release of Norwegian death metal band Katechon's debut album which is to be released soon on Nuclear War Now!, too. (You might not have heard of Katechon before, here's the link to their Bandcamp page: http://katechon.bandcamp.com/)

The Eye's only album "Supremacy" receives a re-release by Debemur Morti. Should be interesting for all who like early Blut Aus Nord as it was one of Vindsval's short-lived projects.

Also, a song from the upcoming October Falls album has been added to the label's Soundcloud page.

Both albums will be released on 15 March and are available for pre-order, which I made use of already.

Totally understandable about Sacriphyx, but I'm right there with you about that GU/M split. I pretty much ignore the Manticore side since the Grave Upheaval side is so awesome. I just return the needle to the start of their side when it's done! The outro riff on that second song is MASSIVE.

Cool news about The Eye reissue, its his best side project by far, but it sells for like $80-120

Spartacus (Promo Version of whole album) was released (or leaked?) in 2012...and I found it to be quite good. Now I get to re-visit this again. Haven't listened to it in awhile. I had no idea about the drummer, so that is good to learn.

Looking for new Prosanctus Inferi and their "Noctambulous Jaws Within Sempiternal Night"
But sincerely that single is not that great imo. I dont think they will ever outdo their superb 2007 demo...

With Mysterium just released (and early in the year), there should be enough time to squeeze another Hellwell release into 2013.

Indeed! The teaser they uploaded for the upcoming album sounded great too, and it wasn't even mastered yet. I wonder how close the actual release date is for this.

I know how pitifully mainstream this sounds, but I'm actually anticipating the new albums by Slayer and Metallica, excitedly in the case of the former and nervously the latter. Both are seminal bands who, at their members' current ages, are nearing the twilight of their careers. Both lost their way in the 90's, with one rebounding and the other sliding even further into irrelevance. After the triumph that was World Painted Blood I'm very excited to hear Slayer's new one; as for Metallica, Death Magnetic was a partial but still very inadequate recovery. I'd like to see both bands end their careers on a high note, and the next two albums are crucial in getting there.

Shhh, be careful dude, you could lose all your cherished kvlt points for such an infraction.

Personally I'm looking forward to the first Firesoul album the most now, which is no surprise considering my current Mercenary kick. I hope it goes in an 11 Dreams/The Hours That Remain direction, but I certainly wouldn't be offended if it picks up where Architect of Lies left off.

Firesoul's facebook page hasn't been updated in a while. Anyway, I think it would go in an Everblack/11Dreams direction, since those were the the albums with both Mikkel Sandenger and Henrik. Mikkel is also in another project called One Machine, which sounds a lot like Nevermore in a good way: http://www.blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?m ... mID=185613

Last I checked, very little was known about it besides a few posts on his site about which vocalists he was using.

Well, yeah. Avantasia hasn't disappointed yet, though Angel of Babylon did worry me with some of its filler.

I like that one more than Wicked Symphony actually, though WS has "Blizzard on a Broken Mirror" and "Runaway Train," which might be Avantasia's best tracks.

"Runaway Train" is one of my favorites, too. It's like if Meat Loaf wrote Euro-power metal.

After putting the band on ice the last year or so because of member changes and lack of label support in favor of his project Spirit Seed, Mike Conte has resurrected Early Man. Just as Byzantine, Protest the Hero, Flotsam and Jetsam and others have done, he's forgoing signing with any label for the purpose of crowd-sourcing the new album independently. For those interested, here's the link: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/early ... paign-2013

I haven't seen them mentioned on here that much, but I liked their interpretation of traditional metal with some various thrash and even some doomy stoner influences here and there. They slightly pre-dated a good portion of that wave of revivalist bands from a few years ago from what I remember. Never came across as one of the many whom seemed more content with the fit of their high-tops and playing basic Genre 101 riffs, fishhooked logos and all. Mike's a hell of a riffer himself and seems to be aware that's the best card in Early Man's hand, so I'm onboard with helping him out. Listening to the Beware the Circling Fin EP as I type this.

This truely blew me away. Great mix of agression, technicality, and a rock and roll attitude. I've been working out to it ever since I heard Mesmerized By Fire.

I don't have anything against Early Man personally but they're like the Patient Zero of hipster metal.

In this interview Andy says that he's already written 5-6 tracks to it, but i suspect its going to be 2014 release, as they have very busy festival season.
