Haha wow, that artwork is really terrible. I do have high hopes for the album, though.

"Arch Cadaver" sounds absolutely depraved! I hope the rest of the songs rip like that one.

Quoting for new page.

The post-reunion material from most bands is usually pretty lacking, but Autopsy pretty much just picked up right where they left off. Love it!

Sounds like a continuation of what we heard in Macabre Eternal; messy OSDM the way only Autopsy knows how to do it. Love how rotten Reifert sounds.

This is gonna rule.

I have to say I'm impressed. They just keep on pumping filthy brutal slimey Autopsy tunes as if there was no tomorrow! :headbang:

Whoa, I just checked out both the new tracks and I'm very excited about the new release. Arch Cadaver is a catchy oldschool death/thrashy track, while Mangled is more riff oriented and is signature Autopsy all the way. Reifert also sounds great.

Man, looks like my DM rankings for the year just got a lot harder. Crushing, crushing stuff here, absolutely love it. Really hope this keeps this awesome retro DM revival going, I wouldn't mind a few more Autopsy records if they're going to be this good.

It has leaked.. On 3rd track, seems an awesome awesome release. Whole thing is 44 minutes, which seems the perfect length. The previous album was way too long for me and ruined the experience as a whole.. This on the other hand seems classic Autopsy.

The main riff to the track ' She is a funeral' is one of the heaviest things I have ever heard in my life

First listen, and I'm not sold. Sounds like a weaker version of Macabre Eternal. :(

I like that it's shorter, but none of this is really punching in a weight class above the masses like the best parts of Macabre did. Doesn't strike me as quite so dementedly sick and uncomfortable is the best I can describe it as at this stage..

I really don't understand people complaining about Macabre Eternal being so long. It was their first album since 1996! Let them make as much music as they want. It's good of them to give it all to us and nothing's stopping anyone from turning the record off or just playing highlights sometimes if that's the way they feel. You also get a lot more for your cash with a longer album, so really, it seems such a silly thing to complain about, especially when there's as much variety as was present on that album.

Anyway, only listened to "Arch Cadaver" so far but I thought it was a brilliant song. Quite excited for this. Autopsy is pretty much at the top of the heap as far as I'm concerned.

I thought Macabre Eternal was a perfect length given the amount of fuckin' awesome riffs and variation (for a DM album) on the album. And Sadistic Gratification, maaaaaaaaaan...

The new one, from two listens, seems to be really good. 'When Hammer Meets Bone' seems to be a standout, but all the tracks are heavy as balls and catchy as fuck. Definitely sounds like a cross between the first two while ME was a lot more influenced by Mental Funeral.

Full immersion listening these days for me.

In my opinion I think it's a good album with some remarkable tracks such Arch Cadaver, She Is A Funeral, Slaughter at Beast House, Mangled Far Below... but in the same time there's a lot of filler and unspired one like Flesh Turns to Dust and Thorns and Ashes (seriously, it's very strange listen Danny and Eric do a Powerslave-style tapping :ugh: ).

In the end, I liked it and buy in the near future for the sickness which permeate and made by Reifert & Co.

Listening to the album now, albeit, out of order, but holy shit, this RULES!! Loving every single track including the interlude and outro track. Macabre Eternal was good but this is striking me as being significantly better on first listen. It's the old Autopsy we know and love but spruced up a bit, I feel - a real breath of fresh air. I want to buy this album right fucking now but I'm broke. :(
