Off the top of my head:
Spoiler: show
Mournful Congregation - The Catechism of Depression (from 16:10)

Draconian - Return to Solitude (from 5:32)

Bethlehem - Funereal Owlblood

Skepticism - The March and The Stream (from 6:15)

Any other ideas/recommendations?

Good list, I assume since you posted Book of Kings you've heard The June Frost and The Monad of Creation, both have parts that match what you're looking for but Book of Kings is pure misery. One of my favorite albums.

The other two that come immediately to mind are:

The solo in Divinity of Oceans by Ahab. The whole song fits what you're after but the whole lead in and the solo are the peak of the song for me. Link

Lover's Grief by Empyrium. This whole album has fantastic moments but this one's stuck with me for years. Link

Warning - Footprints (from Watching from a distance)

Candlemass - Samarithan

Solitude Aeternus - Destiny falls to ruin

Morgion - In Ashes Tears

Actually, I'm only getting into Mournful Congregation, planning to dive deeper into their discography. So far the band looks really good for this kind of material.
Already love Empyrium, good call. I have heard Ahab but haven't listened to them that much, definitely need to fix that.

Another possibly too obvious response for this is is Loss. Their 2011 album "Despond" is perfect for what you're looking for and alongside Book of Kings are my go-to's when looking to spin something tremendously depressing. Link

There aren't a lot of mournful solos (that I can think of) but one that does come to mind is the one in Worship's Whispering Gloom

Solo starts at 9:17.

Last cd/tape before doomsday and Dooom are excellent.

the solos on epicus doomicus, and the leads on dance of the december souls... greg mackintosh's entire career.

Paradise lost has many examples, but I was listening to this "Faith Divides Us Death Unites Us" today, and this song really stood out. I've linked it to the particular mournful riff/solo part.

A majority of the riffs on Funeral’s earliest works Tristesse and Tragedies cut straight to the bone with how utterly heart-wrenching they sound.

The one right after the intro in Asunder's A Famine, crushes your chest like a sledgehammer.
