My dad recently showed me Agalloch and it sounded awesome. Does anyone have any recommendations to what sounds similar to them? :nono:

Check out Kauan “ Aava Tuulen Maa”
The Morningside “The Wind, the Trees and the Shadows of the Past”
Gallowbraid “Ashen Eidilon”
Saturnus “Veronika Decides to Die”
Falls of Roaros, Fen, early Wolves in the Throneroom, Pillorian (Agalloch vocalist new band)
Check out the “similar artists” listed here in the archive.

Enjoy, Agalloch is such a great band.

Agalloch is a big influence for Vials Of Wrath. I enjoy all their albums but Days Without Names is probably the best spot to start IMO.

Your dad is awsome!

Maybe you should try also neofolk bands like Nest and Tenhi, surely you'll notice great similarity to Agalloch!

Bergtatt by Ulver. This is ground zero for many of these foresty folk/black metal bands.

I would also recommend the first two Empyrium albums, especially the second one goes deep into the acoustic music mixed with black metal. The first one is a bit more symphonic, focusing on the synth more.
