Novembre has some songs in Italian, its more like progressive/gothic metal if thats your kind of thing. Ironically they're one of the only Italian bands I really like even though I speak the language.

Contropotere. Might be classed as "punk" by MA standards (dunno, never searched for them here) but it originally sounding like Black Sabbath with two opera trained women at the front.... before they went electronic like a proto-Ulver.

Nanowar have some stuff in Italian. Their jokes tend to work a bit better, too. I'm quite fond of their tribute to Giorgio Mastrota. Also Sabotage did some Italian stuff like 'Rumore nel Vento'.

More if you're in BM, Spite Extreme Wing. Really high quality black metal that straddles the line between traditional and melodic. You can really feel the Italian-ness in the atmosphere, too.

Well, into the black metal scene you can listen to Movimento d'Avanguardia Ermetico, their lyrics are all in italian, and Veratrum as well. Also Frangar, and the first Aborym "kali yuga bizarre" has a lot of italian lyrics but out of the spoken parts they're difficult to be dug.

On the border with metal and everything else, Tronus Abyss sings in italian only in their last album "Vuoto spazio trionfo" , though their best album is "rotten dark", where only few lyrics were in italian.

Into brutal death, Cadaveric Crematorium did some songs in italian. Epochal "nessun muoia" in the "grindpeace" CD, recommended, & have fun

The fact is that italian hardly fits to metal lyrics, and the most of the bands coming from here choose English to try and gain a wider popularity (miserably failing).
Only very underground bands sing in italian, the majority of our bands sing eventually one or two songs in mother language through their whole career.

I hope I have been helping, and also hope some countrymate will add something I don't know to your request.

P.S: in "the cainian chronicles" by Ancient the song "at the infernal portal" is partly sung in italian (the first 3 minutes) and partly in english

Lacuna Coil has a few songs in Italian, I think.

I came here to mention them! excellent and unluckily almost forgotten band, wich has some of the best and most poetic lyrics i've ever read in the whole metal genre, especially their last album Vltra (despite the fact that i don't agree with their far-right wing ideology)

Two other excellent bands that sing in italian are Tenebrae in perpetuum (some of the best black metal that came out of my country togheter with Spite Extreme Wing, even if they have a more traditional cold, dark sound instead of the warm, very mediterranean one that Spite has) and the very little known Locus Mortis

Other two that seem really popular around here (but i don't like them as the others) are Janvs (they even got Ivar Bjornson to play on the re-recording of their demo) and Folkstone

Distruzione (slang for Destruction) if you like death/thrash. Properly not an amazing one, but they sing in italian.

Thirding Spite Extreme Wing - lovely band and one of my go to Italian bands.

Corpsefucking Art has some random songs in Italian if you're into brutal death metal.

Most of them sound great, specially Distruzione, Cadaveric Crematorium and Spite Extre Wing, thank you. Sadly there are not so many bands that sing in italian, they're very talented (hopefully in the future, more bands will decide to sing in their mother language).

You may check Neurodeliri's only album if you like punkish speed metal. That album's lyrics are all in Italian.

C'è un'altra band che puoi ascoltare, si chiamano Blaze of Sorrow, cantano in italiano e suonano un grandioso black metal moderno, oscuro, rifinito, simili ai wolves in the throne room

This is written in italian since the pal is asking for italian-sung songs, then maybe interested in my mother-tongue
Ask for traslation if you please

Hirpus sings in Italian, though it's not the same caliber as Spite Extreme Wing.

They play melodic black metal in the vein of old Ulver, etc. Vega is a fantastic album!

I think Hirpus is great, though I couldn't say which I prefer. I guess I might prefer him to SEW's later stuff.

Rosae Crucis

They've done a few concept albums, and they are a bit like plays. Sometimes, not a very good acting, though...

Neurodeliri is a band singing in the Milan accent. Two demos, one strange LP, ex-Bulldozer members.

Nero di Marte is an Italian band that has lyrics in both Italian and English - mostly Italian on the latest album Immoto. They're an excellent band if you're into dissonant, slightly chaotic death metal, a bit like Gorguts or even Ulcerate. The vocals are semi-harsh, kind of like a mid-point between Primordial and Urfaust.
