Lately I've been trying to find some good horror themed music that would be perfect to play at a haunted house attraction. All I'm finding is shitty ambient and piano stuff that doesn't even qualify as horror in my opinion.

What I'm looking for is stuff that feels like it came out of a Silent Hill game, something like this.

and this.

Dude just look up "dark ambient" on youtube or spotify and hit shuffle.

Edit: removed because OP clearly gives zero fucks.

I don't know of any horror-themed stuff, so I'll take the haunted house angle:

I've always thought that Blut aus Nord's Enter (The Transformed God Basement) would work well in a haunted house. It might be a bit too percussion-y though.

Also, maybe some stuff from Gnaw Their Tongues? I'm not too familiar with their work, though, so I don't have any specific recommendations. But I think some of their stuff is genuinely disturbing.

Try The Axis of Perdition:

https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/The_Axis_of_Perdition/7836

Specially you should check the EP "Physical Illucinations in the Sewer of Xuchilbara (the Red God)" and the full lenght "Deleted Scenes from the Transition Hospital", they mix black metal with industrial music and these two releases are heavily influenced by the music of Akira Yamaoka and his Silent Hill soundtracks. First and last albums are more straightforward industrial black metal and "Urfe" is a weird experimental album, mixing dark ambient with a narration made by Leslie Simpson ( https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1176604/ )

Another suggestion is Aghast:

they perform dark ambient eeire as fuck!
