I was relatively late to the flower travellin band's two epic proto doom / metal masterpieces from the 70's, but man o man what a bunch of records.

the key thing is the eastern scales (there's maybe two tracks across these two that have that blues boogie dead horse) ,the monolithic and sometimes repetive bludegoning , the crazy joe yamanaka on vocals abd man that guitar / lead work. there s some proto slayer moments on these records to say the least. hiroshima is fkn brutal ("Children ! of the Mushroom !!")

So i was just wondering if there was more 70's hard rock / proto metal (japanese or really from anywhere) that stays away from blues and incorporate eastern or other scales.
