Love this Bauhaus song, is there any more nice dark depressing stuff with double bass? Always loved the instrument, it's used a lot in jazz but I feel not enough in dark, sad music.

The only metal band I can think of is Russian Narrow House on their sophomore. But it's not used massively either. And musically, you can't call it "sad", it's very baroque and diverse...

Cadaver's second album has the double bass featured throughout, though its not really sad in feel. Instead it's used to give a slightly deranged feel to the music, like the feeling of a lunatic asylum:

Yes, it does. The bassist for that album, Eilart Solstad used an upright double bass on some of the songs. There's even a double bass going through an eye-socket on the album cover.
