Lately I've been listening to more metal infused deathrock, but I don't really know that many bands so I've been just listening to Shadow Project and a few later Christian Death albums (mostly Born Again Anti Christian).
I know this site isn't known for it's abundance of people knowledgeable in things like deathrock or just gothic music in general, but I know some people know their stuff.
Also, I have no issue with projects that are experimental/industrial/noise etc. leaning.

Thanks in advance.

I wasn't, thank you very much.
Sounds quite good, but it's still a bit too "trad deathrock", IMO.

If you like Von. Well everybody likes Von, some just pretend not to.

If you want full-on metal with deathrock influence, this could be a band for you:

That self-titled Shadow Project album and "Only Theatre Of Pain" are my top death rock choices, along with this blistering thing of beauty.

Another worth mentioning is "The Spawning" by Dead By 28. It was produced by Mike E Clark who worked on a ton of ICP albums and brought that demented circus vibe to the proceedings. Long out of print but there's used copies out there and the whole things up on youtube.

In Solitude - Sister
Heavy metal band that went from having a very influenced by Mercyful Fate and King Diamond-esque sound to a more Samhain, early Christian Death and Fields of the Nephilim influenced heavy metal.

Trom - 31, Evil and Balmor
Samhain meets Celtic Frost meets Bauhaus meets Moonspell? I don't really know. Really cool and unique band.

Hour of Thirteen - Feast and Flame and A Knell Within the Crypt
Hour of Thirteen is best known as Hour of 13, a doom/heavy metal band that released some really great doom/heavy metal albums 7-12 years ago, but along a slight name change came a change in sound from doom/heavy metal to deathrock/doom metal. New stuff is superb!

Hellrippers James McBain has this metallic gothic post-punk/deathrock project Lock Howl that's got a lot of metal influences all around. Pareidolia is a fantastic album!

Kinda "doomy" though closer to pure deathrock

Check out Eat Your Makeup, Miguel and the Living Dead, and for more of a hardcore approach there's Slimy Member. None of these are really metal, but definitely with strong distorted guitars.

I just came across this band, Secular Plague. I think they definitely fit the bill.

Super Heroines is where it's at. Eva O, the main singer/guitarist/songwriter, is also one half of the creative force behind both Shadow Project full-lengths as well as some early and later day Christian Death material. Highly recommended for those that like a heavy dose of metallic guitar with their deathrock.

Another noteable band is Mighty Sphicter who also utilize a heavy dose of metallic riffing in their songs.

Some 45 Grave would be suitable here as well, and definitely the post-45 Grave band called Penis Flytrap who were much heavier/faster but still deeply rooted in deathrock stylings.

If you like my suggestions, I have more, just ask.
