Hey,

I've been recently really getting into Monotheist again by Celtic Frost. The production, the tone, its slowness, etc everything about the album is really superb. Any idea for albums that are similar to it in different ways? I'm familiar with the other Fisher-related bands except Apollyon Sun. I'm pretty open musically as well ranging from classical to extreme doom.

Thanks a lot, this is perfect music for the how dark it is in Scandinavia right now.

0xist is the sole band I can think of that openly took inspiration from Celtic Frost late period:

"A Dying God..." always reminds me of the 1st Khanate album, but you probably already know them:

You should definitively try with Totengott:

They are the closest thing to Monotheist you can actually find, in fact they started as a Celtic Frost cover band until they started to write their own songs. They have released two demos and two albums that are fucking amazing.

Technically "core" but Black Tongue's latest album has that Celtic Frost feel at times in my opinion. Not a coincidence I guess since they covered them.
