I'm looking for black metal bands that try their best at incorporating King Diamond-esq vocal parts into their material.

A couple of examples are December Moon "The Apparition of Mother Earth" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_q-EROeu3c
and Sabbat "Registry of the Dark side" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IidoYF-QjYU

Thanks!

two bands off the top of my head:

1. into the sunless meridian; they played a weird kind of black/speed metal hybrid and had a s/t one-off full-length out on near dark. the quite sparse falsetto vocals were very obviously influenced by the king, although they of course didn't match his quality. very boring album in my book. *
2. arkha sva. now this is a different beast. this is basically LLN-worshipping black metal from japan with falsetto screams sprinkled through their songs that, in a technical sense, aren't always delivered to the point, but most of the time their black metal works out fine. I'd say they're definitely an acquired taste (like the king's vocals too IMO) and better suited for the refined black metal connoisseur than for beginners, but I like these guys a lot. I'd suggest to start with the demo compilation to see if they work out for you.

*edit: if I recall correctly, the ITSM guy's other BM band night conquers day feature *some* of these high-pitched screams too, but don't nail me on that. I haven't listened to them in ages, but musically speaking, I think I definitely found them more interesting than ITSM.

The first Ihsan solo album is very King Diamond-esque too.

Someone already mentioned Into the Sunless Meridian, but all of Mikael's bands would fit this bill. Tearstained is basically Bathory crossed with King Diamond.

Anaal Nathrakh did these vocals on a few songs in 'A New Kind Of Horror'.
Most notable example: https://youtu.be/ZE_CIrJSKzk (see around 00:48)

Quite interesting how creative this guy was. Also his band "Buried Beneath" belongs to this category. Though he does the KD-screams only once or twice in a song.

Possession was a great band that a lot of people don't know about. I guess its because they are Christian, but man their music fucking kicks ass. Christian or not.
Funny thing about them is the label they were on was the same label as Acheron. Acheron is a very anti Christian band. Was always amazed they were both on the same label.

Yeah.

Well Tourniquet was on Metal Blade with Mercyful Fate and Believer were on Roadrunner with Deicide. It's not that uncommon really.

Bewitched (Chile) : Dragonflight

The sole album I own by them. It's been years since I last listened to it. I recall it had loads of KD style vox on it.

Tearstained built their entire career off of this. They can be rather hit or miss, but when they're hit, they're really fucking good.
