Greetings
I'm looking for an American (perhaps British) all-female (or almost) metal band which is or used to be in the Archives which I remember listening to but I can't remember now. They released a single album in the mid 90s if I'm not mistaken. They played heavy metal (or maybe thrash) with alternative rock/metal influences. Does anyone know which band this is or is it just a false memory of mine? I remember the cover of the album I remember mostly in red in black.

Thanks

Is it 13 that you're thinking of? https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/13/5059

I love Drain sth, but I'd be surprised if it was them. As far as I know they've never been in the archives because they're more alternative metal/hard rock/grunge, kind of Alice In Chains-ish. Their second album Freaks of Nature is pretty red with some hints of black though. They're also Swedish, though their lead vocalist married Tony Iommi, who of course is British.

I'd be shocked if Kittie was ever in the archives, but a couple of their albums had a red and black palate for the cover as well. They're Canadian though.

No, sorry, it wasn't 13 and none of these all-female alternative metal bands. It sounded more "traditional" and I'm pretty sure they were on the Archives. Thanks and sorry for the belated reply, I didn't remember I had created this post :D

Meanstreak? Phantom Blue?

try posting here, as well: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=44082

or google for some articles like "best all female bands of the 90s", you might get lucky.

I'm very curious to find that band, too, now :D

fear of god only had a female vocalist, but that made me think of detente, dawn's previous band who played thrash and had one single 80s album with a red/black cover:

no alternative/rock influences tho...
