Greetings. I have wanted to ask this question for some years. Sorry for my style of writing and the level of english.
There is an Atmosperic black metal band from Poland, called Wędrujacy Wiatr. Its a quite well-known band actually, if you listened to them you probably heard that very melancholic, far-away gloomy type of rawness. Thats not the type of rawness that brings you cold-winter-misery and so on, oh no.
It brings you a lot of other emotions and not all of them are fully negative. This music gives you a lot of thoughts and melancholy, in my opinion.
Not the last role here is played by the sound production. Wojslaw once said they have made a lot of work to create such atmosphere. Infortunatelly there arent many bands with such sound.
I can name only a few: early Drudkh, some Syvyj Yar, kladovest and severoth (maybe?), also i should mension Bergtatt from Ulver here, Gaoth and early Primordial (this one isnt really close).
Can you help by naming other bands with an atmosphere that WW have in their compositions? Thank you.
