I'm looking for bands that are riff-based, mainstream, that make "simple" and effective music, something where they say "we have good riffs, we play them, that's all". I don't know if you know what I mean, it's the impression that bands as diverse as Metallica, System of a down, Slayer, Rammstein can give me...
In short, I'm looking for something with a big production, efficient, easy listening, riff-based, original if possible (please no rock, no malcore ...).
I specify I listen to a lot of metal since long time, so I know all famous stuff. I'm also not really looking for a specific style, as far as it is metal (at large).
Any ideas?

I'm guessing you already know Mastodon. If you don't, listen to Leviathan. If you already know Mastodon then listen to Taint.
