Nocturnus's The Key is literally a concept album based around a Terminator-like robot that goes back in time to kill Jesus. I can't think of anything more appropriate

While not on the "action movie" side of things there is also Progenie Terrestre Pura's album U.M.A. whose concept is about the interactions between humans, technology and robots. Good album with well tought out aestethics!

Blaze Bayley's Infinite Entanglement trilogy is futuristic sci-fi.

Dope Stars Inc., though not anywhere as heavy as Fear Factory, probably not even metal for the most part.
Epochate is a Dope Stars Inc.'s side-project which to me has a very post-Skynet world atmosphere.
Neurotech have just released a comeback album. Generally more keen on melody than heaviness, and some albums more than others, but the aesthetic is definitely futuristic/sci-fi, although the lyrics not so much.

Samael's Passage is what you need ASAP!

IIRC, there is one particular track (The Ones Who Came Before, I think) on that album that genuinely pays tribute to the Terminator 2 soundtrack...

The French band Division Alpha put out a very good and sophisticated series of concept albums about a city in the future where humans and machines cohabit. It's worth a try.

Really depends what you mean. Like, sci-fi has always been a large part of thrash metal 'culture' I guess. Voivod, Vektor, Teleport, Droid, etc
