what are the best "cosmic atmospheric (black) metal bands" making you feel being out there in space?

I'm sure you've heard of Darkspace.

Progenie Terrestre Pura! Very proggy while being atmospheric and spacey. Super catchy melodies too, without being too whimsical!

I'd have to second this band - the black metal elements are quite heavy and hard-hitting (there are moments that actually remind me of Mgla), but there's plenty of interesting stuff going on with the use of keyboards and electronic samples and the song structures themselves (which I agree are very proggy). The music doesn't sound bleak, but isn't overly "happy" either.

Spectral Lore, Mare Cognitum and in particular Midnight Odyssey made excellent records in this style, if you are not familiar with those bands you'll find a lot of good stuff. III, Funerals from the astral sphere and the split album Sol are great to start

The first Oranssi Pazuzu is probably my favorite spacey black metal album and one of the best at combining Black metal and Psychedelia, i really reccomend that

Check out Covenant's "Nexus Polaris" - the band called it "Progressive Space Metal".

I initially had several suggestions, but they were either a bit too far from the exact requested genre or it was already mentioned. This one should fit and hasn't been mentioned yet.

Synodic - Cosmic Cataclysm NGC 6357:

A lot of the big/obvious ones already mentioned... so I'll go for Thanatonaut

Weird name, I know... I found these guys through metal archives back in 2018 or so. While I mostly listen to NWOTHM bands, this one is solid nevertheless. Check it out if you're a fan of atmospheric space metal.

Nychts from Switzerland.

Also, I think, that "Cosmosophy" of Blut Aus Nord brings some undertones, but still it creates a sorta cosmic feel.

Nocturnus - The Key is an absolute classic, and a personal favorite, in terms of space/sci-fi themed metal.

Nebula Orionis' album Starthrone is certainly worth a mention.
