I'm looking for bands that are like Reign in Blood to Divine Intervention Slayer.

No pizza thrash or melodic stuff. Bonus if the lyrics are similar, like Satan, serial killers, and war.

I have heard all of the major bands like Kreator, Sodom, Vader, Dark Angel etc..

Thanks.

How about some Slayer worship from China? Explosicum is like the only band I know that is so ridiculously derivative of Slayer but is so fucking fun to listen to that I don't even mind.

I've actually heard of Hellbringer, Antichrist, and Condor, but forgot about them. So thanks for suggesting them!

I've never heard of thrash from China, and they are pretty good!

Gravetemplar, your video says unavailable.

Reactorblast from Germany if you're looking for a band that fits the whole war theme.

Korzus from Brazil.

They are still making albums but start with Mass Illusion from 1991. Vintage Slayer vibes all over the place.

I remember there was some Aussie band that was pure intentional Slayer rip offs. I think each of their albums also mimicked a particular Slayer album (ie, one was HA; the other SNM etc). Name escapes me - anyone know?

Ι guess Nekromantheon is too obvious but like Condor etc, a reminder is in order. I believe the primary influence on Rise, Vulcan Spectre *is* old Slayer (-86). Cast Down to the Void, which opens the album makes it quite obvious, without being a ripoff. Conversely, Divinity of Death after winking at Hit the Lights goes into Hell Awaits intro mode... I also think that you can tell that the vocals took a turn for Araya on Rise...

Speaking of Araya, Infernal Majesty's None Shall Defy has the best impression I have heard, released a year after Reign in Blood. Such a killer album. The s/t is fucking sick.

The Haunted's first two are pretty obvious.

Despise from Greece had this awesome demo in 1993 (for the place and time - awesome, more objectively, it's a good demo, if not really original). It is total Slayer worship, a bit of Kreator too. But really Slayer!

Not a band but the best song by Stampin' Ground and probably their most famous (hey, good choice for that other thread!) features a pretty obvious Slayer/Hanneman influence in *that* break.

Doesn't fit the time period you asked but it's damn good and someone might be interested in Show No Mercy worship: Insane - Wait and Pray
