I'm looking for metal bands of any subgenre that uses microtones in their music (using notes in intervals smaller than the standard 12-notes used in western music). I haven't found much, but I did find this:

Jute Gyte is the most obvious answer to this. Really dense convoluted microtonal black metal.

His discography can be overwhelming at first, especially as there are lots of non-metal releases in there. The metal albums are in distinct trilogies:

Old Ways, Young Eagle, Verstiegenheit

Impermanence, Isolation, Senescence

Discontinuities, Vast Chains, Ressentiment

Ship of Theseus, Perdurance, Oviri

Plus Birefringence and Mitrealität are worth checking out too.

Good luck.

I've also just remembered that King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard use microtonal guitars on a lot of their stuff. Most of their stuff is stoner/space-rock, but a few years ago they released this album which is more thrash metal.

I was looking for microtonal stuff years ago, it seems there's not many people interested in having a custom microtonal guitar but here's a few of different kind:

Nu-Metal/Metalcore with quarter tones

Post-rock/metal with fretless instruments

Dissonant Black Metal, not sure about this one but it sounds like it's using a 16 or 19 EDO scale

I heard about KG&TLW from David Bennett Piano, a Youtube channel based around music theory. Rattlesnake is pretty catchy imo.

You need Victory over the Sun. Black metal, with octaves divided into 17; reminds me of Ulcerate and Krallice. Tough, weird, violent stuff that will absolutely scare your parents.
