In this point (point of no return as Guardian would say ) I'd like to ask a question. In this thread I've recommended a lot of Hellenic Black Metal bands. In general, the above mentioned genre is discussed a lot in these boards. What I find weird is that Hellenic Death Metal is rarely discussed in these boards. Bands like Septic Flesh, Sarcastic Terror, Obsecration, Horrified, Phlebotomy, On Thorns I Lay, The Elysian Fields have the same atmosphere with early Rotting Christ. So, can someone explain to me why those bands are rarely discussed when a discussion about Hellenic Black Metal arouses?

I've heard Act Omega by Disharmony. It's in the Hellas: The Black Death Anthology (1989-2006) compilation that I have. Act Omega is a kickass song and the compilation itself is generally kickass

You should listen to Darkest Oath's "Paradise of the Infernal Torment" and Disharmony's "The Gate Of Deeper Sleep" (which has Act Omega on it).

I have but most things I have are fairly recent releases (post 2000). Other than those I have the typical old stuff (Fiendish Nymph, Kawir, Zemial, Agatus, Zephyrous) that you already know. Oh, you may do not know yet Uranus. I have the Doctrine Of Immortality. Or Medieval Demon. I have Demonolatria. The other are recent stuff. Eschaton, Wargoat, Bethor, Nadiwrath, Tymbos, Cry Of Silence, Northern Breeze and Dodsferd.

By the way, I bought Kawir - To Cavirs in its original book-Cd version

How are Uranus like? I heard lots of rather off-putting things about Medieval Demon. Are they worth a listen?

Uranus are good. I wouldn't tag them as Pagan Black Metal as they are tagged in MA. At least not in Doctrine Of Immortality.

Medieval Demon are good if you like Symphonic Black Metal. If not, don't bother a lot.

I haven't found it yet. There are high chances though that I'm going to find it. You see, the album was released in 1999 and a friend of mine (the one who has the label that is in my sig) had a store that existed all through the 90s and closed in 2001. So, she has a lot of stuff that are not longer available from the period 98-01
