This is pretty fuckin cool. Shame I couldn't understand a word tho and unfortunately that's a bit of a deterrent to actually purchasing it.

Looking for some speed metal oriented thrash, possibly blurring the line between the two genres. Something along the lines of this:

Looking for extremely weird thrash bands for my Theatrical Eccentric Thrash Metal playlist that go more for peculiar vibes than pure aggression. The kind that I look for mostly feature semi-clean vocals and technical riffs, but they don't necessarily have to be highly technical if they achieve the theatrics with less tricks. Watchtower and Sieges Even are perfect examples followed by Voivod, Blind Illusion, Molten Chains (stellar, absolutely stellar young band by the way) etc. Coroner and Vektor however don't make the cut (mostly) because albeit technical, there isn't much playful weirdness going on. They're too "serious" for this niche playlist, for the lack of a more objective judgement.

^ German Depressive Age could suit your search terms. Not too serious.

Polish Astharoth and their debut album 'Gloomy Experiments' perhaps?

I didn't get to check out a lot from 2023 in thrash metal.

The only albums in the thrash metal scene that I bought were:
Overkill - Scorched
Enforced - War Remains
Sadus - The Shadow Inside
Hellwitch - Intercentional Annihilation

What were some other thrash metal albums that I should check out? Specifically, I love albums like these:
Dark Angel - Darkness Descends
Demolition Hammer - Tortured Existence
Sepultura - Beneath the Remains
Sacrifice - Forward to Termination

Newer albums in that mold is what I would like.

I guess the Sadus and Hellwitch albums fit this bill in terms of albums in that style of thrash. The album by Overkill is definitely a different style of thrash, being on the less intense end of the genre's spectrum, though I do think it's is a very good album. The album by Enforced is probably the most talked thrash album of 2023. It's good, and I guess it occupies the middle ground between the more melodic/accessible (Overkill) and extreme/brutal spectrums (Hellwitch).

Thanks! There are only two songs by Depressive Age on Spotify, but the track "True Love" fits perfectly! Astharoth's 1990 album Gloomy Experiments isn't available on Spotify, which is unfortunate because the new stuff doesn't do the trick for me.

Yep, two tracks by Toxik are already on the playlist.

These are more black-oriented rather than death like your examples, but probably worth checking out:
Inculter - Morbid Origin
Kranium - Circus of the Dead
Eternal Evil - The Gates Beyond Mortality

I'd like to suggest a few "newer" thrash bands you may like. Based on your description.
I've been going to these records as of late when I'm in the mood for some thrash:

Condition Critical- Extermination Plan
https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/C ... lan/561489
Demolizer- Post Necrotic Human
https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/D ... an/1132674
Killing-Face the Madness
https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/K ... ess/942529
Annihilation Process- Sickening Madness
https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/A ... ss/1066221
Mantic Ritual- Executioner
https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/M ... ner/228328

Enjoy!

I recently discovered the Canadian band Hyperia. I'm really enjoying these guys, everyone should check them out.

Is there any thrash out there similar to Cruel Force's Dawn of the Axe album? It's got that perfect blend of German thrash, speed, and heavy metal and I need to know if there's anything that remotely sounds like it.
