Fucking sweet! Full on Slayer worship. Thanks!

I've been listening to this band, Revocation. They are unlike Slayer (more like new kind of Thrash), with some technical death on the side. Anyone who's interested, Chaos of Forms is a really great album. This is the best song for me

Infernal Majesty's "None Shall Defy" takes the feel of early Slayer a bit further, I often joke that this is my favorite Slayer album.

For Show No Mercy worship then check out Insane (ITA)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGYbcjdazoE

Maybe Hobb's Angel of Death? They have a dark and sinister tone that reminds me of some Slayer material.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAOdh4A3Vlk

Demiricous' first album is pure Slayer worship.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqXHs5EZC9Y

Onslaught's last album was largely Slayer and Sepultura worship.

On the topic of Slayer worship... not all our (Spewtilator) songs had a super heavy Slayer influence but these do and may be to your liking:

Altar of Snackrifice

Burn in Hell

Can someone recommend me little known albums with top flight riffing? Something to the level of Helstar, Artillery, Obliveon and Vendetta? Only the best of the best.

Agreed. That album is fantastic.

Lesser-known albums with top-flight riffing? How about these:

Vortex - Thrash Is Alive (band not even in the archive!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8th5LnfgxY
Viking - Man of Straw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QEPXmqXJoc
Ulysses Siren - Above The Ashes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ua8ciSaXKAI
Pyracanda - Two Sides of a Coin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVyYAxnX2_A
Gammacide - Victims of Science http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkpOuqJbh0I
Disciples of Power - Power Trap http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lk8lBj-Mvzg
Antichrist - Forbidden World http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usg6K95Ha2I

Not sure if they are exactly what you're looking for, but they are all albums any serious thrash fan should be listening to regardless. Enjoy!

Anacrusis - Screams and Whispers is some progressive thrash that has excellent riffwork.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PeJZd1ru6i8

Deathrow - Deception Ignored is a pretty well known album so you may be familiar but it is some excellent technical thrash.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hhs0mU-vh9w

Deliverance - Deliverance is some Christian thrash with some solid riffing although not particularly technical.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDk4qG62J98

Target - Mission Executed is some great technical thrash.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vafZUaMzxys

Bezerker - Lost is some excellent and very unknown progressive thrash with lots of great riffs. Another band that needs more attention.

Pick up D.R.I.'s THRASH ZONE album and you're good to go.

Also:

Suicidal Tendencies - How Will I Laugh Tomorrow If I Can't Even Smile Today?
S.O.D. - Speak English or Die

I'm looking for more oldschool thrash, similar to the band silence, In this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40hbh2cwQm0, with the same style of vocalist as the band. I love the attitude in the vocalist's voice.
At these parts of the song: My first favorite part of this song starts at 4:00. Soooooo badass. I love that sound effect on the vocalist's voice. So low production sounding.
My next favorite part starts off 5:00 when that drum leads off into thee sickest beat. That's not to say that the other instruments are aren't doing their thing. The guitar in this song really shreds earlier in the album.
I love how in this song really works with the drums. The aren't just there to give the song structure. I really enjoy that kind of primal drum sound, that's just there to get you pumped.

I hope that gives someone some insight to understand what i'm looking for. Looking forward to the suggestions! \m/

What are you some great instrumental thrash metal songs? So far I'm only aware of Metal Church's ''The Powers that Be'' and Sepultura's ''Inquisition Symphony''.

Looking for incredibly fast thrash with complex riffs, little to no midpaced riffs, a varied songwriting, and falsettos, i,e stuff like Agent Steel, Toxik, Holy Terror, and Realm.

I love those bands you mentioned.

Allow me to plug my band TEMPLE OF BLOOD a little bit:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRgk0__naUQ
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NMLcjOzqBI
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uTg3qu7SFo

I'd also recommend BRAINICIDE, HAVE MERCY, IMMACULATE, FLOTSAM AND JETSAM - "Doomsday for the Deceiver", and DEADLY BLESSING - "Psychodrama".

Early ARTILLERY ("Terror Squad" and "By Inheritance") might also be what you're looking for too.

That Deadly Blessing is incredible, that vocalist hits some incredibly high notes the music just takes me back to another time. Brainicide is great as well, Have Mercy is a little more typical 80's sounding but they're good as well. Thanks a lot especially for that Deadly Remains holy hell Ascend from the Cauldron is another great album from early US heavy/speed.

Yeah, Ski is a good friend of mine. Really, all his projects are great. I would recommend ALTERED STATE and FAITH FACTOR if you haven't heard them. ALTERED STATE may be the best band he's ever been in. Ski is a great guy and has been a singing mentor to me. He sings in a Judas Priest tribute band now and does an outstanding job with it.

Of course, "Control and Resistance" has crazy playing and screaming and a lot of up-tempo stuff in it too. That's an all-time classic.

You might enjoy HADES - "If at first you don't Succeed" too. A lot of these albums I am recommending have a lot of uptempo stuff but also a lot of midtempo stuff too.

Also try:
IMMACULATE - "Atheist Crusade"
TOURNIQUET - "Stop the Bleeding"

The TOXIK demo "Wasteland" has an insane scream on it. It's on one of those Metal Massacre comps.

What about old METAL CHURCH? Some of that might fit the bill.

Looking for some doomy thrash metal material. It may not necessarily be albums but individual songs. Faster and doomy stuff tends to fall into a "sludge" category with bands like Soilent Green easily definable.

I don't want any of that, I'm more interested in stuff similar to Slayer's "South Of Heaven" and "Gemini", Overkill's "Skullcrusher" and "Burn You Down/To Ashes" and Testament's "The Ritual".

DeathBySuicide, look into Dream Death.

The german death/thrash metal band Protector also had some VERY doomy moments. Here's one:

It might be exacty what you're looking for, but Paradise Lost's Shades of God could be your thing. Traditional doom metal with harsh vocals and some thrash metal riffs here and there.

I'm sure anything from Hirax would be a good recommendation for you, I like there release Noise, Chaos, War it is a collection of there pass EP's gathered together on one disc, plus Katon's voice never disappoints. Plus I heard that Dr. LivingDead is in the process of putting out some new material soon.

This thread has a bad habit of hibernation.

But maybe this will rectify some discussion. I just came a cross the band, The Force, and this is some catchy as fuck Speed/thrash that is only a few years old. I am spinning their 2008 album, Possessed by Metal (cliche album title, but accurate.) And it is no compromise thrash if a tad unoriginal, but full of old-school heavy metal leanings. Full of melodic tendencies, but still thrashy enough for the purists. What do you all think?

Yeah I know them. They are from South America and pretty much fit perfectly into everything that is wrong with retro-thrash even if they are a little better on the execution than other bands. South America from what I have discovered from youtube have a lot of these bands. They have very amateurish album covers about thrashing, band names and album covers often named after thrash songs or albums, and cliche lyrics about thrashing. And they worship the bay area as well but tend to be a few notches below in quality. The vocals are also pretty meh with the drunk off-key style and it just doesn't fit with the accent either in my opinion.

Well, I never took thrash lyrics to seriously in any era to be honest, regardless of the band. I tend to choose other genres for that type of thing. Thrash is just the perfect genre for energy, speed, and doesn't require high levels of thinking. You are right that most retro-thrash is pretty much self-indulgent tripe, but thats why I never focus much on whats being said. Well, these guys sound more speed-metal to me anyway
