Any bands out there that have vocals similar to Metallica? Testament for example.

4Arm and Trivium come to mind.

4 Arm, Xentrix, Slammer, Evile (less in vocals, more in sound).

Looking for some slow tempo thrash. Can you guys recommend please?

Not quite sure but Meshuggah fits the bill this. Although they aren't thrash, they have thrash elements with a slow doom-y feel to their songs.

Listen to their first album. They had thrash roots... and it was awesome!!!

Can anybody rec some bands that are smiilar to Inepsy? Specifically, their "City Weapons" album which is my favorite.

I know this isn't pure thrash at all, but I'm a big of the vocals, solos/guitar work, and attitude.

(Also, I'm at work and youtube won't load...so if that isn't Inepsy - City Weapons (track)...my bad).

EDIT: Actually, on second thought I should've posted this in the heavy metal/speed metal rec thread. Sorry guys.

that inepsy album is basically a hardcore album with a heavy metal veneer. They are closer to discharge, anti cimex and such than most metal bands. That said there are bands like speedwolf and malignant tumor which do something similar.

Female fronted:

Holy Moses
Nervosa
Detente
Znowhite

Metallica Style:

Defiance
Xentrix
Slammer

Most of the UK bands that were really standard have a Metallica kind of thing going on.

Check out bands like Vio-lence, Exhorder, Sodom, and Sadus. Pretty fast stuff.

Does anyone have thrash bands in the vein of Demolition Hammer, Sadus and Morbid Saint? Went on some kind of thrash binge in the last couple of days, and been enjoying the heck out of those bands. I'm looking for something really fast with pissed-off sounding vocals, leaning towards some sort of death/thrash hybrid. Even though a lot of bands probably fit into that mold.
Some other bands that would sound kinda similar would probably Kreator, early Sepultura or maybe Warbringer, but I never really got into those bands somehow. maybe I can give them another spin

Protector's "a shedding of skin" , A.R.G.'s debut album and Razor's "Violent restitution" should work! ;)

Damn, these recommendations are doing it pretty hard for me right now - not too sure about Razor yet, but it does sound cool! I've never heard of ARG before (I'm pretty dumb when it comes to Thrash) but that album is sick, as is Protector. Much appreciated!

Give me some under represented 80s thrash or power metal please. I know all the obvious stuff, it having been my scene back in the day, so I know all the first & second tier bands. What about some bands that should have gotten more attention than they did? I'll give them some attention.

Pretty obvious mentions: Realm's two great albums "Endless War" and "Suiciety", Toxic's "Think this", Forbidden's first two albums.. then stuff like the early Mekong Delta records, Deathrow's highly underrated riff-fest "Deception ignored" and maybe Wolf Spider's more technical albums like "Kingdom of Paranoia" and "Drifting on the sullen sea"

Morn of Solace mentioned some great ones.

I would also suggest:
TOXIK - "World Circus"

TARGET - (both albums)

INTRUDER - "Psycho Savant"

TEMPLE OF BLOOD - "Overlord" (my band)

Hey everyone, first post here we go. THIS IS SPECIFIC:
I’m looking for something like Artillery as well, but not really for the technical side of it. I’ve been recently, once again, obsessed by Fear of Tomorrow, and like Possessed and Mayhem n shit. I’m looking for something that’s mainly a fun but relatively dark thrashy sloppy mess, with some spooky ass (almost death metal) vocals if possible. But that’s not what’s most important.
At the same time I don’t want stuff that’s too death metal like Scream Bloody Gore. Or early trios like Sodom, Hellhammer, etc but more along the line of early Artillery (which is, yes i know, not really considered death metal at all), as in with a bigger, more traditional and bombastic thrash outfit. The main thing is basically weird songwriting, sloppiness, good riffs.

SO yeah, something that’s like Fear of Tomorrow basically: old, all over the place, tasteful, groovy, raw quality.
ps: stuff i already know: Rigor Mortis, Mekong Delta

Some of these are a bit too thrashy and the quality is too polished. Although I’m really digging Estigia, that’s pretty close.
I guess I’m looking for stuff that’s a little bit more black/death metal like Minotaur (Germany) or Possessed and Fear of Tomorrow consequently, which is just really unique.

Shit dude, never even checked out Tormentor really before. I know the Elisabeth Bathory track but that’s it. Really amazing stuff. And Schizo is really fucking great too, thanks!
Also stumbled on this other sick italian band:
