Moker's latest is pretty good. I guess Impending Doom are kinda similar but I haven't heard Impending Doom in a while.

Before being removed from the Archives, BTBAM was classified as metalcore. I believed that is false, but just going by the Archives' standards.

Does no one realise that Colors wasnt the only album Between The Burried and Me have released? They are definetely a metalcore band.

I don't know anything about this Moker band, but just a note - Impending Doom changed their sound a lot between albums. While the old was more the 'brutal deathcore' sound, the new one is more akin to Whitechapel or Oceano, although not nearly as good IMO.

I enjoyed "The Cleansing" alot, even when most of my metallic friends slaughtering them like 99% of all metalheads. I liked it and i dont like deathcore at all. But the heaviness\lyrical content in some of the songs on the album are great. But they singer needs to step up a bit. "Lifted" was awsome, but "Wake Up" failed. Still hoping for a good album.

I feel the same way with 'Wake Up'. He shouts WAKEUPWAKEUP way too much in the song where it becomes annoying and unlistenable.

All Shall Perish's new one Awaken The Dreamers uses some cleans, and this album is held in high regard, so you may enjoy it. Personally, I don't find it as engaging as The Price Of Existence, but you may like it.

All Shall Perish is my favorite deahcore band, so yeah, I already have that one. :P and yeah, The Price Of Existence is the best ASP album.

Year of Desolation from Indianapolis is a good example... Listed as "Melodic Thrash" on here, there are definitely some metal/deathcore influences... Very few breakdowns, and the ones that appear aren't that annoying and don't last very long... Vocals sound almost identical to Mark Hunter from Chimaira... Check out the self titled release and stay as far away from there first album as you possibly can...

I think the most recent Lamb of God record (Wrath) is great. In fact, this may be the best record they've ever put out. They will never be my favorite band, nor are they the most original band in the world, but they are quite good at what they do.

There are a couple of vaguely breakdownish parts (one of which, on the last track, is a bit annoying and interrupts the flow of the song), but the rest of the album is more straight-ahead metal than anything else.

A couple of Unearth's albums are decent too. And I like some of Dillinger Escape Plan's stuff too (to the extent that they can be called "metalcore") But overall, I've never been that into metalcore/deathcore. I find most of the more commercial/popular stuff to be quite boring, but I'm not going to be one of those "RAARRR DEATH TO METALCORE, ANYONE WHO LIKES IT IS A POSEUR" types either.

I also liked Wrath, but it feels like they'll never beat Ashes Of The Wake. Besides, I like Chimaira more than Lamb Of God. ;)

Not to start a huge argument here, but I don't understand why everyone considers Ashes of the Wake LoG's best album. It's good, but it has a fair number of boring/draggy sections to it. I find both Sacrament and Wrath more consistently engaging.

To be fair, I haven't heard Wrath as much as Ashes Of The Wake, for obvious reasons, so maybe in the future, I may like it more. Sacrament wasn't as good, unfortunately...I still like it and listen to it, but it's definitely a lower point for them.

Does anybody know a metalcore band that sounds pretty similar to Avenged Sevenfold during Waking the Fallen, both with singing and screaming? I'll show you what I mean:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Llv_cznyblI

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Re9JVfRMjww

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSZ6CX79p7c

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNgbJ74ZJDY

Because there are rumors that they'll go back to metalcore in the next album but you never know with A7X.

Metalcore:

All that remains - the fall of ideals
As I lay dying - An Ocean Between Us & Shadows Are Security
Darkest hour - Deliver Us
Killswitch Engage - Alive or Just breathing & The End of Heartache
Parkway Drive - Horizons & Killing with a Smile
Shadows Fall - Of One Blood & War Within

Deathcore:

As Blood runs black - Allegiance
Born Of Osiris - The New Reign & A higher place (upcoming)
Heaven Shall Burn - Deaf to our Prayers & Iconoclast

those are my recommendations

edit: A higher place is out (July 7)

All Shall Perish - You have likely already heard them, but to cover all bases, they are very technical, and somewhat progressive, at least in the sense that their sound is vastly different from the majority of deathcore bands. All the albums are pretty good, but the two newest are the best, Awaken the Dreamers being their best (and their most technical/progressive).

Beneath the Massacre - Another well-known one, but these guys are super technical, possibly at the top of the 'tech heap' for deathcore. All releases are recommended, although my favorite is the Evidence of Inequity EP.

Born of Osiris - Pretty unusual melodies and tempos, often has a 'proggy' feel to it.

The Boy Will Drown - This may be more 'mathy' than what you were looking for, but this band has very fast guitarwork, although somewhat spazzy.

Burning the Masses - This band has a pretty similar sound to Beneath the Massacre.

Conducting from the Grave - Fast guitarwork, hyper-melodic.

Thy Art is Murder - Very technical, with lots of cool wanky parts.

Trigger the Bloodshed - Cannot recommend this band more, very good deathcore, with drumming in the vein of Beneath the Massacre.

Hope this helped.

Yeah, that's why I'm hoping that there's a band that has vocals similar to their's during Waking the Fallen, because I have a feeling that they'll keep selling out.

For Metalcore I'd suggest Trivium, except the album "The Crusade", which was a very poor attempt by them at sounding like Thrash Metal, but other than that they're a pretty awesome band, especially their latest album "Shogun"

For Deathcore, Heaven Shall Burn, nuff said

I listened to the new Suicide Silence album yesterday, No Time To Bleed. I have to say that this is a huge improvement over the first one, which I also enjoyed. No Time To Bleed shows them with some better songwriting and playing skills, while still sounding very much like Suicide Silence. If they can improve again for the next album, I think it'll be really good.

I sampled some tracks from Born Of Osiris' A Higher Place. Not bad, but the tracks are excruciatingly short - it feels like they're ending earlier than they should. The music is not too bad, though.

Hmm I like a fair bit of metalcore and a lil bit of deathcore but not that much...

Metalcore:
All that Remains (Pre Overcome).
Antagonist A.D.
Hatebreed.
I Killed the Prom Queen.
Killswitch Engage.
Lamb of God.
Parkway Drive (Easily my favourite metalcore band).
Shadows Fall.
36 Crazyfists.

Deathcore:
Despised Icon.
The Red Shore.
(The only good deathcore bands i've found and I've listened to ALOT).

I was skeptical upon first listening of the new Suicide Silence album. The production seemed kind of crappy and the guitar seems too chunky. After several more listens though Iv've noticed that isn't the case and I am beginning to enjoy the album alot more. Once again let it be said the vocals are top notch. I'd say Mitch is my favourite vocalist within the deathcore genre.

And for the post above, Parkway Drive, 36 Crazyfists, IKTPQ, Antagonist AD and Hatebreed are not Metalcore bands, their either Metallic Hardcore or just straight up Hardcore.

I'm with this. OFC at times the line between the two genres can get faded.

Not a fan of metalcore at all, or deathcore.....except Abscess' split with Bonesaw....not labeled deathcore, but it's death metal and punk, and it rules.

Definitely metalcore. The band however mentioned that they tried to avoid getting on to the metalcore bandwagon, but somehow, their music doesn't seem to be paving way for that. Perhaps you felt that they sound melodic death was due to their latest album, "Declaration". Honestly it sounds very different from their earlier releases.

Try Veil of Maya. Although there more towards Metalcore but there very similar to BOO if they didn't have Synth. I'd also recomend Eyes Of A Traitor who have a Meshuggah gone core vibe to them.
