You can't tell me Disgrace To The Corpse of Sid or anything they did prior doesn't bear any resemblance to early Napalm Death. Extreme Noise Terror's stuff they were doing on Holocaust In Your Head and the Peel Sessions was very similar to the stuff ND was doing on Scum, minus the fully established blasting; it sounds even more similar to demo-era ND. Warsore was noisy...so was Napalm Death dude, I don't see what you're getting at there.

All that aside, I'm really into Inhale/Exhale and the stuff you could say was similar to early ND, but there are better choices out there. Nasum did a lot more tremolo riffing, and even in their punkier moments they still kinda sounded like a death metal band.

I'm not saying it didn't bear any resemblance to ND because it definitely did, but they were just more about creating "noise" than grindcore like Napalm Death.

Glad I´m not the only one who thinks like that.

Is there some kickass new oldschool Grind in the vein of IW or DT80k out there? Anywhere?
Groovy, heavy, catchy Goregrind like TDEBN, DPD recs would also be welcome. Basicly all Grind thats super straight forward
or Gore-Groovre.

Kinda hard to get sound samples from those bands, but from what I´ve heard they are all very crusty, not that thats bad.
Suffering Mind is the only band I heard more then 1 song and they are awesome.

I´ll try to get some more of the others, they sure sound worthwhile; cheers guys! :)

Groovy goregrind huh?

The Decapitated Midgets is what you want to hear.

Download their discography here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?rwqdxykckp9op1e

The link is made by the band themselves, they posted it on a finnish grindcore forum so nothing offensive here.

Probably an easy request, but I'm looking for some straight-forward death/grind like Terrorizer, Repulsion, Assück and Insect Warfare. Anything with that fast and dirty sound is welcome really.

Cellgraft, or maybe Pizza Hi-Five. You should check out Standing on a Floor of Bodies and Thousandswilldie, too.

Also these:

PLF (Pretty Little Flower) - Since you know IW you probably know these dudes but worth a mention just in case... Pulverizing Lethal Force is my favorite.

N.I.B.I.R.U. - If you like IW you'll like this, real noisy. Check out the War Before Enslavement EP

50/50 - groovier than IW but I'm using that term lightly. Check out their s/t ep or the split with Endless Demise

OK, I'm quite new to the genre, but I'm digging Magrudergrind, Wormrot and Nasum, and also Insect Warfare. You've got any suggestions to keep me going?

That wasn't necessarily pointed at you, with the bands you said you'd heard and liked, I figured you'd at least heard the other OG classics like Horrified and World Downfall. A lot of people come in here and ask for recs that are answered pretty much in the first couple of posts in this thread.

In other news, Hummingbird of Death's Show Us The Meaning of Haste fucking rules. THRRAAAASSSSHHHHHHH

Hummingbird's stuff is ridiculous, love that band.

I feel like we should expand the OP with a secondary list of more recent albums that are mandatory. Seems like we get a lot of folks coming through that know the newer "household" names (Magrudergrind, Wormrot, IW etc.) that are looking to delve deeper and we're just repeating ourselves over and over rec'ing them the same bands. Thoughts??

this guy asked for a band that sound like Dead In The Dirt and in my ears they have some things in common.
i never said they were grindcore...
and yes you are being an asshole especially when its seems that the guy who ask was happy with it ...

Slime-y, disgusting, gurgle-y Porn-grind, with plenty of samples.
I really enjoy Mortician and Last days of Humanity (edit; damn forgot the glory that is Regurgitate) from the grind perspective
and so far as actual porn-grind the 3 way austrian scat mafia split with Cum Book/Pumpgun Facefuck/Whorehouse of Nagasaki are all I've got so far but I really enjoy it, so anything that hits between all those guys would kick ass.
