This actually sounds pretty awesome to me, depending on just how bad the acoustics in the closet are. Do you think you could hit me with a few names that have this sound?

Mexicarne
Nasty Pig Dick
Anarkitran
Las Rameras

The first ones that comes to mind. Just remember, you asked for it.

With a name like that, you know they're worth checking out.

Pretty eye-catching name I guess, as they were the first ones I looked up. It was better than I anticipated but the songs are way to long and I don't really dig the drum programming so much. Mexicarne's vocals were fucking garbage. I gotta say though Anarkitran pretty much just sounds like straight up grind to me, this isn't bad.

grind bands with drum machines are probably my least favorite thing in the world next to Ann Coulter, poop, and Chuck Norris jokes.

Mexicarne fit the bill. It were introduced to me as Mexico's answer to Parlimentarisk, which is a stretch. I am not sure if the others are just names I happen to remember. Dig in at your own risk - the more I think about it, I'm pretty sure one of them is female fronted gore/porn.

Nasty Pig Dick has identified you and made it their priority to keep you from listening. :)

Honestly, I don't mind a drum machine just on principle, but I think you have to use them either in a completely over-the-top way like old ANb or Catasexual Urge Motivation, or you have to actually be really talented and create something natural sounding. I do not understand using a drum machine to re-create average brutal death metal drumming.

Most bands with drum machines have no concept of sequencing beats. Playing and sequencing are two different worlds.

Wish I could read Japanese, or google would translate secure web pages. There are so many albums I want to pick up that are only available via mail order.

Hmmm, i can't think of too much overly groovy aussie gore-grind other than those bands you have already mentioned, or i have mentioned. Perhaps these may have enough elements of what your after to enjoy:

Garbage Guts - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8SsR0ojmwI - I've rec'd these guys a few times, and seems to have fallen on deaf ears/blind eyes. Your all missing out....majorly. Plenty of vids on youtube, and a very rough demo hiding out there on the internet.
The Pelvic Slurp - http://www.myspace.com/thepelvicslurp - Reminds me a bit of Anal Nosorog
Splattergasm - http://www.myspace.com/splattergasmgore - A bit more of an old school death influence
Roadside Burial - http://www.myspace.com/roadsideburial - Very Mortician sounding
Corpse Carving - http://www.myspace.com/corpsecarvinggore - Again, Mortician worship
Cunt Butcher - http://www.myspace.com/cuntbutcher666 - Two Bass guitars and a drum machine. Killer grooves if you enjoy amaturish lowish-fi grind/gore/death.
Predominant Slug - http://www.myspace.com/predominantslug - Noisy and blasting, yet grooving goregrind.

But for unrelated aussie plugs, that i think many regulars of this thread would enjoy (SO TAKE HEED FUCKERS!):

Nowyourefucked - http://www.myspace.com/hobartgrindcore
Pissbolt - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkJ0ZbEj7z8

And loooooooottttttttsssssssss of videos of melbourne shows with local/interstate/international grind bands. (including a big chunk of an Insect Warfare show as well!)

I gave Cleptocracy a listen today on the living room stereo and was finally able to clearly perceive what the guitars were doing. I guess my car stereo had too much bass, and I had too much pride to turn it down past 0. Anyways, as soon as I discovered what the riffs were doing I was like "Oh, alright...", then instantly went back to drooling over the drums. What a crazy fucking album.

After reading the review for Magrudergrind's s/t on Chainsaw Justice I have some context for the conversation that happened several pages back. I can see where the s/t could be disappointing (maybe not on every level) if you went in expecting some berzerker fastcore or power-violence action. The s/t was my first experience with their music, other than random tracks on last.fm. I went in anticipating grindcore so I was actually a bit surprised at how punky it was. This has me pretty fucking excited for Rehashed, which should be en route to me.

Oh, and I guess I'm supposed to recommend or request something? Try listening to relentless gulf coast grind while playing some Tiger Woods on the xbox. It's an odd, yet pleasing juxtaposition.

Could someone recommend me some good goregrind? Something that doesn't have the "slurping the last bit of your milkshake" sounding vocals, or at least good sounding ones?

Anyone recommend more punky, d-beat, crust oriented grind?
Stuff like Nasum, Rotten Sound, Phobia, Magrudergrind, Regurgitate, His Hero Is Gone etc?
And I'd like to avoid most low gurgly vocals.

punky/crusty (in a general sense) grind:

Napalm Death (obviously)
Extreme Noise Terror (obviously)
Repulsion (obviously)
Terrorizer (obviously)
Excruciating Terror
Agathocles
Dropdead
Insect Warfare
Unholy Grave
Assuck
Disrupt
Audio Kollaps
In Disgust
Flesh Parade
Flagitious Idiosyncrasy in the Dilapidation
Enemy Soil
Monster X
Electro Hippies
Warfair?
Ulcerrhoea
Doom
Mass Grave
Hatred Surge
Capitalist Casualties

not all strictly grind but all bands worth investigating.

Check out Scrotum Jus Records. Feastem play grind dripping with punk roots. They are from Finland, i believe, so ther should be no doubting their knowledge of each genre (I swear punk is their national music.) Gaf is another band that has its moments. SJR's other releases are more straight-up grind (Wormrot) and proper deathgrind (Mad Axemen) but inbetween is a nice helping of punkish goodness

No problem mate, like i sort of mentioned in the post, they aren't the usual crop of bands from Australia i reccommend, but glad you enjoyed.

That reminds me, my 2009 Top 10 is stuck at 8, and two of those are more hardcore than grindcore. I may have to include the Parlamentarisk Sodomi EP on 625... and the Tribute To Nasum 2CD might squeeze in there. Awesome track list.

I dont think so cause grindcore doesnt click with all metalheads as it has its roots in hardcore and crust. But who cares?

It's likewise with the Heavy/Power/Speed Rec thread as well. Mostly a bunch of regular name dropping and discussing bands. Both of these threads are great though since when the knowledgeable regulars discuss bands, I get tons of recs and I assume there's quite a few silent readers doing the same as well.

It was more-so a comment in regards to the posters that come in and post:

" i thnk I lyk GrinDCorE lyk thus albmz, whatz lik eet?"

Im sure there are a lot of lurkers benefiting from actually doing some reading, and good on them. Just a run of poor requests gives me the shits. I think a lot of people on here get sick of posting the same shit over and over, when it can just be found by literally 2 pages of reading.

My only qualms of that design is the green, it would be alot better as just black and white but other than that, a great product from Warlord again.

Agreed. That green looks completely out of place, but the design itself is cool.
