I need something similars to Draconian’s Arcane Rain Fell. I have already tried Shape of Despair, Daylight Dies, My Dying Bride, Swallow The Sun, How Like I Winter so recommend me some other bands. I’m looking for exactly the same beautiful depressive atmosphere present in Draconian’s Arcane Rain Fell.

Thanks in advance.

You should check out Consummatum Est.

Try Virgin Blacks Requiem albums and anything by Tales of Dark. Lake of Sorrow by Sins of thy Beloved might also be what youre looking for.

Probably the same place that spawned AIDS and Dani Filth.

Though they lack the female vocals, The Morningside's two albums reflect a similar melancholy rainy-day atmosphere. Maybe they're a little more "dang I'm kind of sad" where Draconian is more to the "OH MAN I'M PRETTY FUCKING SAD" side of the spectrum.

Ahh, Arcane Rain Fell, the BEST gothic doom metal album ever. I have also been searching for similar stuff and found these: Saturnus' latest album, both Estatic Fear albums. Estatic Fear use a lot of classical instruments, but its just amazing.

Personally I am not really a fan of the first Requiem Virgin Black album, the only ones I really like are the first 2, which are great, but haven't heard the latest.

Doom:Vs is excellent, and it is the solo project of Draconian's guitarist.

Amederia is a bit like Draconian, but less heavy.

I can't think of any more at the moment, except for My Dying Bride's "The light at the end of the world." I know you said you have listened to them, but if you haven't heard this its worth a try. If I think of any more I will let you know

I’ve tried Consummatum Est; they are good but I can’t digest the vocals but the music has the same feel and atmosphere I’m looking for. I’ve also heard Virgin Black and I’m gonna check out the rest. Thanks a lot everyone for your recommendations.

Hmm, maybe Confetti might be worth a shot.

Yeah man couldn't agree with you more, i've been listening to only Death Metal for almost 8 years and i didn't even know metal could be this beautiful and enchanting. In fact it's the only non Death Metal CD in my collection.

Thanks a lot everyone i listened to most of those bands that you guys recommended, most of them are really good but i must say that none of them could beat "Arcane Rain Fell" may be it's because masterpieces are made only once. But thanks everyone once again for some really good recs.

"Arcane Rain Fell" is still an album that i've been hooked to for years and still am.
Sourcing around for similar albums seems to be very hard, Reason because, i feel that what stands out for draconian is thei 'beauty and the beast' vocals. Something that plays a huge role in the album.
Hence, i don't come across any bands similar to draconian.

The closest i feel is Luna Obscura from Greece. They've only got one album, Feltia.

Luna Obscura is very good, but they aren't really doom metal, they are probably too fast for the OP, compared to ARF, but if he also likes gothic metal they are definitely worth checking out

Saturnus are a very good band who might be of interest. Especially "Paradise Belongs To You" and "Veronika Decides To Die". The first album I mentioned in partiular, has a very depressive atmosphere.

Lethian Dreams are very good, I have only managed to find their latest album though. It sounds like Draconian, but a bit less dramatic, and when the male vocalist does the clean singing he sounds a lot like the singer from Draconian.

The proportion of male to female vocals is about the same as Draconian, but I think the female vocals, though you can't really understand what she is singing unfortunately, sound a bit better than Lisa Johanssons.

last fm link - http://www.last.fm/music/Lethian+Dreams

2 full length tracks from the latest album there
