I'm looking for relentless thrash in the vein of Pleasure to Kill and Darkness descends, no shitty midpaced "heavy riffs" just full out speed.
thank you

Try Destruktor and Hypnosia. The latter is Kreator-worship at its best.

Sadus - Illusions (Chemical Exposure), if you haven't already heard it.

Fastkill. Japanese thrash metal in the vein of Kreator's Pleasure to Kill. Well, the vocals, the riffs, the structure sounds pure PtK worship... except two times the speed (well maybe not), making everything sound... different enough.

Morbid Saint - Spectrum of Death

It's fast and brutal, with great riffs, vocals, leads, and drumming.

Evildead- Annihilation of Civilization
Toxik- World Circus
Death Angel- Ultra Violence
Holy Moses- Finished With the Dogs
Protector- Golem or Urm the Mad
Assassin- Upcoming Terror
Armagedom- Silenco Funebre?

you probably know some of these, i know some more obscure ones but they aren't coming to me

Sigh, and I thought you were requesting thrashcore. I was set to rec Get Destroyed, Feud, Edora and other good shit like that. But never mind. You would probably call it garbage.

Second Fastkill.

I'll third Fastkill, their name says it all.

Eliminator - Black-Thrash with really fast drumming.
Tankard - pretty fast stuff
S.O.D. - surprised nobody said this

Inquisitor (Hol) - Wapurgis-Sabbath of Lust

Rigor Mortis, the one from Texas, at least the older stuff was fast!

Again such a thread. I believe the third this year about fast thrash..

Anyway, before 6000 people start talking Morbid Saint and Demolition Hammer all over and over and over.... here are the result from the Dutch vote:

DeadHead (especially Feast Begins At Dawn and Kill Division)
Magnetron - Born Witless ("wearing down the stones" is actually one of the fastest thrash metal songs ever)
Sadus - Illusions
Merciless - The Awakening
Wehrmacht- Shark Attack
Fastkill
Assassin- Upcoming Terror

And also look out for Terror Squad (jap) "The Wild Stream of Eternal Sin"
often forgotten when people discuss really fast thrash

I second S.O.D. Especially Speak English or Die. Pretty fast.

Oh and I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but Sodom? I thought it was fast thrash.

Sadus again.. It can't be recommended enough for this kind of request. "Illusions" makes my brain explode.

Perhaps Absu's - Tara ???

That is if you like blackened thrash.

"Tara" is the best recommendation on this thread hands down. He has to like it, if he likes early Kreator. "Pleasure To Kill" pioneered the black/thrash genre imo. Obviously Tara" is even more over the top and extreme but that's because it has been released like 15 years later or something. Plus it's much better to listen to bands who are interesting and take influences to built something original rather than the lame "worship" stuff. I'd rather listen to Absu, Melechesh or Desaster than to one of those revivalist crap clones out there.

Seconding Terror Squad. Seems like the best thrash at the moment is coming from Tokyo.

Sacrifice - Forward to Termination

anything by Razor

Agressor - Neverending Destiny (more death metal, but it should get your dick wet)

Gammacide - Victims of Science

Guillotine - Under the Guillotine (pure Kreator worship)

Minotaur - Power of Darkness

lots more, but they are my best bets, and I am pretty sure nobody else mentioned any of these bands.

You must not neglect Epidemic's Decameron

It is an unholy cross between Spectrum of Death's brutality and Hell Awaits' atmosphere. This is a band which truly deserves getting mentioned alongside Morbid Saint, Sadus, and Demolition Hammer.

I've tried Epidemic, I own their Exit Paradise album, and it/they do nothing for me. Now EP is all I've heard, so I guess I should hear the rest before completely write them off.

But yeah, Exit Paradise is pretty boring.

I've haven't really heard Exit Paradise but it's supposed to be their worst album.

Try Blood Feast's Kill for Pleasure. It's Slayer-type stuff, just from the rival hotspot.

Pretty much everything listed here is the best representation of "fast thrash". The only album i can think of which isn't mentioned is Vikings' Do Or Die but it's abit generic, to be honest, but it is certainly a fast album.

Yeah, Viking's pretty cool.

Oh, and both Fastkill and Terror Squad are available at my distro folks ;)

So I have found out with a little bit of research.

Need to hear older Epidemic it seems.
