I'm a huge fan of these somewhat off-the-wall bands and I wonder if there are similar bands that are just as heavy or heavier. Perhaps like Cynic but with a more twisted sound. Thanks!

Arcturus, if you haven't heard them already

You probably know them, but if you don't, check Atheist, they're fucking orgasmic and they usually go hand in hand with Cynic, exept Atheist has good vocals.

Behold...The Arctopus has a very off the wall sound, a lot crazier than Cynic or Atheist you might wanna check them out.

I'd heard of all these bands, but I think that was way back when I was still pretty straight-forward in my tastes. Atheist is really cool, although I actually like Cynic's vocals better Arcturus is nice as well, and probably more like what I was looking for. I still need to listen to B...tA
