Hey everyone I was wondering if you knew a sludge band that keeps their songs to a digestible and not overbearing song length. A band with the atmosphere of Cult of Luna and Mouth of the architect but has songs ranging only from 3-6 minutes. Thanks

I find it unusual that you would want such a request, I usually want the songs to just keep on going!

Nevertheless, try Irreversible- Sins. 11 songs are on the record, 4 of which are not what you are looking for, but that leaves a good quota. Although some are interludes. Anyway enjoy, it's a great record. You can even try their Age EP. Two tracks under 6 mins!

If you check out Tesa's Heartbeatsfromthesky, it fits much of your needs. It can go from ambient to post-rock, to visceral heavy grooves matched by tremolo's in the vein of CoL's Salvation. Very much recommended.

I dunno, I find it kind of hard to rec atmospheric sludge where the badn has no time to create.... atmosphere?

Try the EP I Carry... by Adai, most of the songs are fairly short, a couple stretch over six minutes but nothing in the 10 minute range.
