I'm looking for bands that sound like Doom:Vs or Swallow The Sun. Any recommendations would be great.

Try Draconian (Arcane Rain Fell), Forest of Shadows (Where Dreams Turn to Dust), Stentorian (Gentle Push to Paradise), Rune (End of Nothing), and possibly Morgion (Cloaked in Ages...) and Novembers Doom (To Welcome the Fade).

Forest of Shadows. Now there's a name I haven't heard in awhile. heh..

Thanks for the recommendations. I've heard of most of them with the exception of Stentorian and Rune.

So you're basically looking for melodic death/doom, check these bands:
Ningizzia. You already know Forest of Shadows so you probably know Ningizzia as well.
Inborn Suffering, good band from France. Keyboards, some violins here and there, clean and harsh vocals.
Imindain, melodic death/doom with no use of keyboards or whatever.
Lethian Dreams, very 'atmospheric' with female vocals.
Mournful Gust, pretty similar to Mourning Beloveth.
Mar de Grises, highly 'atmospheric' thanks to the keyboards.

I'd recommend Before The Rain, specifically their debut album ...One Day Less, October Tide (Rain Without End is hands down a masterpiece of this genre), and Hanging Garden from Finland, which sounds like a more gothic and raw Swallow the Sun, as well as Saturnus.

You've probably heard of them but I'll throw Daylight Dies out there anyway, definitely sounds like something you might enjoy.

Ha, sorry about that. FoS gets thrown around alot here. I've thought of a few others:
Indesinence (Neptunian), Beyond Belief (Rave the Abyss), and maybe Sorrow (US) (Hatred and Disgust).
