I'm looking for any form of metal, although something on the doomy side of things would be nice, that's inspired or sounds similar to the music found in Spaghetti Westerns such as The Good The Bad and the Ugly. Basically think Enno Morricone + Metal and you're on the right track.

Thanks in advance.

Solstafir uses these elements a bit on their Masterpiece of Bitterness album, but it's not to any large extent.

On Sólstafir, even Köld has a few bits of it, but even there they aren't used to a large extent. Be sure to listen to Náttfari from Masterpiece of Bitterness, it's their most Western sounding song.

The closest thing I can think of now is the middle part of Stone Cold Metal from Ensiferum's From Afar.

I've been wanting to know this myself, OP. Only one I can think of is Earth, with their albums after (and including) Hex. Bad thing is, they've now adopted a post-rock vibe, as opposed to the heavy-ass drone on their first 4 records. Not sure if it's what you're looking for, but it's sure-as-hell Western, and still retains a drone element to it.

I really enjoy The Legend and The Truth. I haven't heard the debut yet, but that album was pretty damn cool.

Ensiferum has some Ennio Morricone influences on a few of their songs, notably the first two songs from "Iron" and the track Stone Cold Metal from their newest album.

Ennio Morricone is a musical hero of mine, so I would also be interested in hearing bands influenced by his music.

I have the entire Ensiferum discography, and I've heard a good deal of Earth before. I'll check out Solstafir soon. Dezperadoz are pretty cool too. Thanks.
