Recommend me some bands with some really great catchy riffs. Stuff I'll be singing along to in minutes or wont be able to get out of my head.

Im talking Running Wild, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Maiden, COB (early), 3 inches of blood etc.

Doesn't have to be power/NWOBHM or traditional metal - but these genres do tend to make for catchier songs - on the whole.

Angel Witch's self titled album is unbelievably catchy. Every song will have you singing along in no time. Especially the song Angel Witch.

Also, Goat Horn's album Storming the Gates is pretty catchy for leaning to the doom side of things. Most would say that Fortress Doomed is the most rocking song on the album but I have to say that Gates of Oppression is far more catchy and rocking.

Some of the catchiest songs that I've ever encountered are all contained within Moonsorrow's Kivenkantaja. Jumalten Kaupunki is especially glorious.

Also, since you seem to have a thing for speed and you mentioned NWOBHM, try Angel Dust.

Well, this is a pretty obvious rec but if you haven't listened to Mercyful Fate's first two, they get stuck in my head like no other. Then there's Lizzy Borden and Accept, which are always great.

I've always found Amorphis to have incredibly catchy guitar riffs and melodies. Things you'll be humming 3 days after listening too. Also there's the more obvious singalong stuff ranging from Korpiklaani to newer Amon Amarth

Korpiklaani, especially the song Vodka.

Hahaha, I could have guessed this one.

My fave Gargoyle are Open the Gates and GUSH!! They're both really catchy.

Dude, thanks. Nebucadnezzer sounds awesome and the other bands sound good as well. I'm gonna check out some of these albums.

Great thread btw.
