Anyone know some heavier punk bands? I'm looking for stuff like Haemorrhage's "Punk Carnage" EP where they did punk covers, or like some of the stuff on Impetigo's "All We Need Is Cheez". Thanks!

the obvious POE for metal bands liking grind is through crust punk, so start with the classics like Doom, Amebix, Wolfbrigade, Nausea and driller killer
bands tagged under the genre stenchcore are especially metallic crust.

Looking for crust/sludge-y stuff similar to Nux Vomica and Carol Ann. Not too sludgey. Like this.

Fresh crust/hc from Brooklyn, New York, USA featuring members of His Hero Is Gone and Masakari!
This is their debut EP - their first LP is expected in 2018

I've become re-obsessed with Bad Brains lately. Only ever heard the first two. Do they keep that insane punk fire burning beyond these? I was reading about a recording from the late 70s that is supposedly their intended debut. I'm going to check that out for sure.

I don't mind the reggae songs as a break from the manicness of it all. They can get a little long on Rock for Light though.

For similar punk maybe check out the VOID/The Faith split on dischord. or maybe early Husker Du like Land Speed Record which blazes through about 20 or so songs live and leaves your ears buzzing...

Plague Dogs are an addictive listen: a second-coming of Inepsy but with even stronger NWOBHM influences. As close to Tank as crust can get actually.

Hi folks. I have quite a general request here.
I've been into punk since I was a kid but I wouldn't be terribly knowledgeable about the genre.
Some bands that I like are The Offspring, Bad Religion, Dead Kennedys and Amebix.
Any suggestions along those fairly broad lines would be great. Cheers.

Hi, I like G.I.S.M. and Nuclear Death and I'd like some more old school (80s/early 90s) stuff that's pure mindfuck like those bands. Nothing modern. Since this is a metal forum I'd prefer something metallic, but if none is available, something "punk-based" as the moderators call it could do as well. Also this request could just as well be in the grindcore thread, but I wanted crust and hardcore included as well, so I picked this thread. Imagine the thread title says "Punk/Hardcore/Crust/Grindcore help thread" for the purpose of this post.
