Needs research. - Emyrose
Genre: "Gothic Metal"
Location: Westhofen, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany

Changed their name to Unherz in 2009 (which play typical German hard/punk/oi rock)
Was listed as Gothic Metal on the site, but one of their songs is featured on the Unherz debut and not quite metal.

They alledgedly released a demo called "Mein Leben" in 2008 on White Noise. Got deleted because of shady VR and questionable metalness.
Gonna throw it in here just in case.

Tracklist:
1. Mein Leben
2. Pater Noster
3. Verschenkte Jahre

Hard Rock. - Aztek Gods
Spoiler: show
Genre: Hard Rock/Heavy Metal?
Location: Finland

Release the 7'' single "Ezyrider / Running Undercover" in 1992.
Are listed has Hard Rock/Heavy Metal on musik-sammler.de, but described as "American-style Hard Rock" in Isten's guide to Finnish Metal (who aren't really in line with our definition of metalness, soo... maybe?)

Also listed on discogs in the most unhelpful/incomplete way, added by the Isten guy, it seems:

WALES / LIVERPOOL, UK RESEARCH LIST (click 'show')

[spoiler]Source: http://link2wales.co.uk/ - Bands Archive tab
(Uncertain how closely their definition of metal aligns with that of the site, but plenty featured on it are also on Metal Archives. Some may not have releases) -

NORTH AND SOUTH WALES:

Anti-Life Theory – Anglesey thrash/metal band (formed Oct05), feat; Dave Burr Pritchard (voc, gtr) (ex Etonium), Ross (bass), Matt Pritchard (gtr), Martin Pritchard (gtr) (ex Salem), Luke (drms) replaced by Ben Norris (ex Entity). Leon Craggs (ex Carbonvein, Fubar) was orig bassist but left due to ill health

Babies With Rabies – Bangor death metal band (1992-93), feat; Barry Jones (voc) (later of Dogshit on Toast), Spaggz (Leon Craggs) (bass) (later Fubar, ex Killing Bagpuss, Vinegar), Ragz (Gareth Horne) (gtr) (later Fubar, ex Killing Bagpuss & Skink), James Stevens (gtr) (later Indiana, Real7), Chris Squirrel (drums - https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... 18330) (later Profiad, Mucus). Songs incl; Moomin Is A Giant. Best show was probably a ‘swap gig’ with PSST at Rhyl’s Mermaid to a packed moshing audience who forced the band onto the back wall.

Black Casket – Llandudno heavy brutal pure metal band (formed Nov05). Feat; Raz (voc, gtr), Styg (gtr), Gaz (gtr), Carl (bass), caDafer (drms).

Added. - ((Blindsight)) – Wrexham metal band (formed 2001), feat; Dave Williams (voc), Daniel Dawson (gtr), Phill Hetfield (gtr), Ben Burke (drms), James Ayling (bass). Had tracks played on Total Rock Radio and good reviews in Kerrang! Dave left the band Jun08
https://web.archive.org/web/20060714063 ... ght.co.uk/
https://soundcloud.com/doomsayer316/set ... of-reality

Boz – ex-Rhyl guitarist (late 80s – early 90s) played briefly for Ocean Rane, also did some solo demos and played with death metal band Ultra Violence, before moving to Yorkshire and playing on TOTP with All Seeing I.

Catalyst – metal band from Mold (pic), (formed 2004), feat; James Key (gtr), Lewis Williams (drms), Mike Howarth (gtr), Jack Hadley (bass), Sarah Boyd (voc) who replaced Dean Williams (voc - https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... 22006). Played many gigs in Deeside area in 2006.

Darkside – Caernarfon based metal band – late 80’s – present? Orig line-up feat; Glyn (voc), Bryn Moore (gtr - https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... 07278), Ian Cadmore (gtr), Declan Parry (bass) ( https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... rry/136404 ) and Andrew Gregson (drms). Rumour has it they used to open their set with the theme from Star Wars. This line-up rec one demo but they had a lot of arguments (they came to blows at one point) and split soon afterwards. Declan and Ian joined Dirge, Bryn Moore went on to play for Red and Hatework. Andrew and Glyn joined Ysoriant. Ian Cadmore resurrected the band name a couple of years later with a completely different line-up incl Iolo Jones (drummer for DFA) and did a small tour. John Bowden (gtr) (also Kobe) – now a soundman at Bangor SU, joined the band for a bit. Ian was last seen recording under the Darkside name, but he hasn’t played live in a long time

Decidian – Dolgellau metal band (c2012), feat; Garin Hughes (drms), Michael Jenkins (gtr), Joseff Lea (bass), Stuart Rose (gtr), David Robert (voc).

Dirge – Anglesey based thrash-metal band, 1990-92. Line-up changed a lot, feat amongst others; Duncan Black (gtr - https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... 18329), Chris ‘Squirrel’ Jones (drums - https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... 18330) , Gareth ‘Bobs’ Brindle (bass - https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... 07279) Ian Cadmore (gtr) (ex Darkside), Bryn Moore (gtr - https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... 07278), Dan Alexander (gtr - https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... 18328), Johnny Piers (gtr), Chris Moore (voc) (later This Thing), Declan Parry (bass - https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... 36404), John Vietnam (voc) (ex-Vietnam), Malcolm Owen (voc) (later of Near Dark). Band stupidly changed name to Fatal Mistake and did a couple of ill-received gigs at the Normandie. Chris’ lightning speed drumming was legendary though

Dotcommunists – Hawarden metal band (formed Aug03), feat; Sam Currie (gtr), Rob McAllister (gtr), Pete Jones (bass), Ste Ensall (drms), Pete Bailey (voc). Rel EP ‘Devil’s Cry’ (Sep04).

Down Impact – Cardiff based thrash-metal band (2003), feat; Jon Russell (gtr - https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... 19199), Liam Mullins (voc). Rel Musical Distortion EP.

Needs research. - Shivers
Location: Créteil, Île-de-France, France
Genre: Heavy Metal (?)
Contact name: Laurent Joly (possibly a band member)
Discography: Demo 1 (1990/'91; track listing: Don't Live in a Lie/ Foolish Game/ Shout of Passion)
- Reviewed in Mephisto 'zine #8. Description of the music doesn't go much further than that they play heavy metal, and that the third song is less heavy than the other two. Song titles hint at a possible melodic metal style. Seeking audio samples)

Needs research. - Poubellor
Location: Bayonne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France
Genre: Metal (?)
Discography: "Poubellic Devastation" demo
- negatively and vaguely reviewed in Possessed by Speed #8 'zine, 1987. Translated from French:
Spoiler: show
Help ! Women and children first! Poubellor, the Bayonne bad metal band has struck again! Have fun with titles like "Decapite The Mère Denis" or "The Fen Listenertome", so many trying to sun a sink in the sun! You don't know how many on the magnetic tape of a 30 minute cassette? Never mind, this demo will allow you to learn about it, this is its main use!

Needs research. - Arsenal
Location: Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Nouvelle-Aquitaine (at the time, Labourd), France
Genre: Speed Metal
Details written here in additional notes/bio: https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Pulsion/83874
The Corroseum interview mentions an upcoming demo. Their music is described quite a bit, and is obviously pure metal. Unsure whether or not they ended up having an official release.

Needs research. - Agent
Location: Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, USA
Genre: Heavy/Speed Metal
- Existed approximately from 1983-1985. The vocalist, "Marz" Hugo Rodriguez (who was Rigor Mortis' vocalist for a period of time during 1985) is the only known member. I've uploaded a photo/logo of the band, if you click on the word Agent: https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... uez/884409 ).
This band is mentioned in the Rigor Mortis "Welcome to Your Funeral Part 1" documentary DVD. The song that gets played while talking about "Marz" I assume is Agent. Production wise it sounds like a standard 'rough-around-the-edges' studio demo of the time it was recorded in, and musically an excellent cult speed/heavy metal style that I'd compare to early Iron Angel, maybe even a bit like Agent Steel. The chorus "Legion of Doom" is repeated several times in the clip. I've asked around and had a friend ask a few people as well, that we thought might know something, and so far no luck at all.

Not metal. - Bitchsaw
Spoiler: show
Country: USA?
Genre: Goregrind

Hi again guys,

I have been trying to find this album for a few days but I can't seem to track it down. It was apparently released on the label Flesh Pit Records, which I believe used to have a bandcamp page that was deleted. There is a physical copy listed on discogs as well. Normally I'd have more information, but this is all I've got to go on. I think I saw it up for download on a pretty shady looking site, but it was one of those ones that want to to pay to use it.

Added. - Menstruation
Spoiler: show
Country: Somewhere in Europe
Genre: Death Metal/Goregrind?

Another one of these. This album actually does have art on discogs, its just disabled because of some kind of site policy or something. I can upload it somewhere if it would help. According to the owner of the label this was released on, this is a European project. I asked the label owner if he would let me hear it, but I haven't heard back from him so I thought I'd post here to see if anyone could track it down.

A Discogs user was kind enough to give me a rip of this. I'm not really sure what to think of it. I'll listen some more and then decide if I should submit. It can be struck from the list now.

Edit: Went ahead and submitted.

Needs research. - High Speed Beer
Genre: Heavy/Thrash Metal
Location: Hong Kong

A band from Hong Kong , that was active in the mid-weighties , and , according to the wold metal map at The Corroseum, has released two demo cassettes.
A Chinnese user tried repeatedly to submit it, but it was always rejected, presumably for lack of proof of valid release. I need also proof of valid rlease for their demo tapes.

https://thecorroseum.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8006
Apparently some members of the Hong Kong aor band Beyond were also involved in this band.

[quote="KingSpooky"]Main list of bands in need of more research, N-Z:

Stolen Thunder

The Stolen Thunder is definitively not fit to be added to the MA.
Although I like their demos, they are not metal in the sense of Metal Archives

This band used to be on MA, but they were actually mostly a cover band with an unreleased demo. I know this because I used to play with their former guitarist, Matt Balousek.

Of course. They made a big deal about being a band when they were around, but didn't really do anything at all.

Needs research. - Decoder
Location: New Jersey, USA
Genre: Rock, Heavy Metal (?)
Discography: "No Escape" EP (2006) - https://imgur.com/QIJRdU0 (track listing unknown)
Band members: Last known lineup: Christian Leiva-Palacios (bass), Teddy Chernishuk (drums), Dino Bibona (guitars), Peter K. Wysocki (guitars), Boris Bogdanov (vocals)
Past members: Joey Nova (bass), Corey (vocals), Marc (vocals)
Live drummer (2004-2006): Daniel Siano (https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... iano/17159)
Session drummer: Al Perdomo
Archived website: https://web.archive.org/web/20060715113 ... rband.com/

(update April 21, '22 - info from a band member: "my personal opinion is that this band does not qualify as metal by MA’s standards. They had two fully metal songs (in a Priest or Maiden vein) called “Thulsa Doom” and “Edge Unseen”, and scattered metal riffs throughout other songs, but this band was not predominantly metal, but more guitar oriented hard rock".) He also advised that they were formerly named Starscream, and released "Hollywood Nights" under that name around 2004. We can keep it open for now in case audio turns up. Thank you very much for the additional info. -Spooky
