Needs research. - Faulkwolf
Genre: Thrash Metal
Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Band members: Mike Foucault (bass/vocals), Ian Myers (guitars), Marc Drouillard (guitars), Stephan St-Laurent (drums)
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Faulkwolf-113835947135604/
YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOqSKvjpELs
- From what I could see this band recorded a demo in 1987 that wasn't officially released, and it's recently been digitized and put on YouTube. Killer material. They've reformed and have a Facebook account. They should be added to the site as soon as they have a valid release.

Needs research. - Dimensão Atroz
(no high hopes on this one - they don't seem to be a metal band from what information/clips are available. Since it had been listed on the site for years, placing it here just in case)
Location: São João da Madeira, Aveiro, Portugal
Genre: Based on samples, mostly punk. A few more samples could clear up whether or not there is potential for them to be added/restored to the site.
Band members: Jorge Santos (bass), Rui Danin (drums - https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/Rui_Danin/151455 ), Miguel Silva (guitars), Ze Oliveira (guitars), Tono Silva (vocals)
Discography: - Live demo 1989 (track listing: Diabólico / Fantasia/ Apache/ Pesadelo (instrumental)/ Maldição/ A Casinha (sátira)/ Dimensão Atroz). Cover art: https://imgur.com/ONEZdDR
- Demo 1990
References:
- https://portugal80smetal.blogspot.com/2 ... atroz.html
- Ultimo Massacre #5 'zine article, translated from Portuguese:
Spoiler: show
Eina neados from September 88, Miguel Silva (guitar/vocals), Jorge Santes (bass) and Rui Danin (drums), form Dimensão Atroz. I have been drifting for some time, not having a defined musical direction, oscillating between "Hard-Rock" and "Thrash". Some time later, Tono Silva came on for vocals that until then had been performed by Miguel, who was freer to develop and perfect his instrument. The band acquired, and already with a little more experience, performed their first concert in a small cafe and filled the room (which was very cramped) with about 80 people. reviews were favorable, with someone saying "it looks like Iron Maiden!" (?) being however the "shadow" between the pubtico in how Dimensão Atroz are and call themselves as being a heavy band! At the end of May 1989, Zé Oliveira took the place of rhythm guitar, thus his "line-up" was defined. The band intends to enter the studio to record the first demo tape towards the end of 1989, meanwhile they are playing live. The band's songs deal with the fantastic, the obscure, current problems (wars, corruption, drugs, etc.) and also a bit of Portuguese history, dealing with the time of the Inquisition. The group chose a symbol that would identify them; a black cat with blank eyes and bristly fur. The blank eyes give the idea of perdition, emptiness, as well as the bristling fur indicates attack, all this in another dimension... THE Atrocious DIMENSION!..

Regarding Darkness Shall Rise
Spoiler: show
NintenTheMetalhead wrote:
Needs research. - Darkness Shall Rise

Genre: Melodic Deathcore (early); Djentcore (later)
Location: Santiago, Chile
Discography:
-Rigor Mortis (EP, 2007)
-Kali Yuga (Full length, 2015)
Known members:
-Hernán "Anatta" Ortega (Vocals)
-Gerald Johanssen (Vocals)
-Claudio Romo (Guitars)
-Joaquin (Guitars)
-Fernando Navarro (Guitars)
-Felipe (Bass)
-Daniel Ríos (Bass)
-Luis Flores (Drums)
-Lucho (Drums)

The band's 2015 album is obviously unacceptable djentcore. However, their 2007 EP (which is actually longer than ther 2015 album) is pretty obviously acceptable Gothenburg deathcore. However, despite the fact that it seems to obviously be a valid release, I can't find solid evidence of its release format (whether it was released physically, digitially, or both). The closest thing I could find is on an archived version of the site "Fotolog" (which is official since it was linked on their official MySpace page), it says "Rigormortis descargas directa" (which translates to "Rigormortis direct download") but there is no actual download link. More solid evidence of its format would be appreciated.

Links:
Fotolog: http://web.archive.org/web/200812280428 ... /dsr_metal (the link that mentions the "direct download")
Archived MySpace page: http://web.archive.org/web/200812201059 ... sshallrise
Current MySpace page: https://myspace.com/darknessshallrise
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DarknessShallRise/
Hernán "Anatta" Ortega's Facebook (for anyone that wants to try to contact him): https://www.facebook.com/deathvocal
Full EP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2w6VPqfqfA

I found that someone uploaded some MySpace demo tracks for this band on YouTube (he's the only person to upload them so I'm inclined to believe him) and he told me he got them from the band itself. I asked him then if Rigor Mortis was released as a CD or digitally and he said it was released digitally. With what I've gathered previously, along with what this guy said, is that enough to submit the band?

EDIT: I'll probably go ahead and submit it soon.

Needs research. - Bitch
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Listed genre: Heavy Metal (?)/Hard Rock
Band members: Vocals - Nancy Davis, Guitars - Lorrie Kountz, Guitars - Gerre Edinger (R.I.P.), Bass - Patti Prendergast, Drums - Leslee Kaye
Discography: Love is Just a Crime (1981, 6 song EP)
Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/Bitch-Love-Is-J ... se/7043487

Only one song from this EP has made its way onto Youtube, "Knight in Shining Armor". It sounds similar to Girlschool. I'm just wondering if the rest of the EP does as well. There's also footage of a live show they played in 1980, but none of the songs ended up on this EP. Here is a link to the song and some from the aforementioned show...

"Knight in Shining Armor": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cn3FcOGfhjI
"Got to Rock-N-Roll" (live): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TqzCbqwnIQ
"Come Too Fast" (live): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eN3VLt8DF-I
"Jailbait" (live): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODQjHEBEbPc

Added. - Deadlock
Spoiler: show
Location: County Antrim, Northern Ireland
Listed genre: Thrash Metal
Band members: Matt (drums), Stewart (lead guitars), Dave (guitars, vocals), Michael (bass)
Discography: Demo 1991 (3 songs) and "Calling Card" demo 1992 (4 songs)
- these 2 releases had been mixed up in the discography of a UK thrash metal band from Oldham, Greater Manchester. The info in the J-card of one that recently turned up on discogs shows that it is a different band. There was a note on another band from Ireland's page on M.A. that says that it shouldn't be confused with a band from Ballyclare (County Antrim, Northern Ireland) who released the "Calling Card" tape - so that is the evidence that they are both by the same band (full J-card scan w/ credits unavailable on "Calling Card")
Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/artist/8413746-Deadlock-26
- (possible that this could turn up on Irish Metal Archives Bandcamp page, as that is who uploaded the '91 tape to Discogs today, and it has a ton of transferred tapes of Irish metal bands).

Added. - Wicked Impact
Spoiler: show
Location: Texas, USA
Genre: Heavy Metal
Known discography: 1-song demo (1985; song "Fast & Easy")
- I got a copy of this recently. It's good straight-ahead heavy metal, but don't have much additional info. Wondering if something more can be found before submitting.

Needs research. - Roke
Genre: Heavy Metal/Hard Rock?
Location: Kuusankosken(?), Finland

There exists a 7'' single, that supposedly was released in 1989 that is described as similar to Moottorilinnut on Isten's guide and similar to Moottorilinnut + the harder stuff from Dead End 5 on some forum post.

Links I've found:
http://www.isten.net/guide/g_r.html
https://keskustelu.suomi24.fi/t/1002744 ... ock--yhtye)
http://www.fono.fi/Dokumentti.aspx?kapp ... 56ba9ec754
https://kansalliskirjasto.finna.fi/kans ... ka.5036469

There's also some wantlists with it, but those are hardly helpful.

Needs samples and a little more info on distribution. Isten has a "(no ps)" behind the entry, might mean "no public selling" or something...

More rock than metal. - Thunder Bay
Spoiler: show
Genre: Heavy Metal?
Location: Finland

https://www.discogs.com/Thunder-Bay-Any ... se/5973681

Need samples.

I believe that's a Sapporo (Hokkaido) band, as that's where Joe Down Studio is based.

To avoid confusion, in addition to the two generations of the Osakan Atlantis and the Yokosukan band already listed, there's also:

Atlantis (Okayama) - Listed in Rockin'f's 1987 'Metal Indies All Band Guide' in Okayama. Included three members of 'Nervous' (https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Nervous/3540463117) see here: http://japan-metal-indies.com/html/nervous/index.html so probably split up by 1988. Never seen a valid release for them (or samples) but I suspect there was at least a demo tape: you had to send a demo for review to 'Rockin'f' to get in the Guide. Might have been a 'labels and magazines only' type rather than one for sale though.

Atlantis (Tokyo) - A early '90's Hard Rock band with a YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkmONy ... m4ofNZre-w

Needs research. - Cuarto Cerrado
Location: Peru
Genre: Heavy/Thrash Metal. Info mentions that they were punk-influenced earlier on.
A demo was recorded at Henry Callata Studio in 1988 that includes the song "Demonios del Infierno". Interested to find out if it had been released.
Audio, info at the Corroseum: https://thecorroseum.org/features/peruv ... errado.php

Needs research. - VTR
Location: Peru
Genre: Heavy Metal/Hard Rock
- Despite all of the history and at least 2 well-recorded songs, it appears that there is no official release. Will list this here just in case somewhere along the way a tape came out, or if the recorded material gets released someday.

This list of German bands might be worth looking into, to see if any had a release, are sufficiently metal, and aren't on the site yet. Will need to translate the bios unless you know German.

Regarding Shadows Ensemble i talked with Animal Profanator of Lich band and he confirmed that the they never released anything so can be removed from the list.
I opened a report because Shadows Ensemble can be added as an ex band on Animal Profanator profile https://www.metal-archives.com/report/view/id/769890

Spoiler: show
Band:Sherkhan
Genre : Melodic Hard rock/aor, even if listed as heavy metal here.
Location : USA.

nan uuntypical post, since this a a potentional "deletion" and not an aadditon
", but thre is a stong eveevidence that thethis band is most likely not metal. I don't know, where else I shjshuld post such request and I hoe that the mods will aloow it in this case and maybe in some similar cases with bands with rare releases/demos, which are hard to get.
The band released a demo tape FDon't Feed tThe Animals, which is described at Discogs.com as melodic hard rock/aor. The song titles also hint towards that possibility. So I need samples from the whole demo.
https://www.discogs.com/Sher-Khan-Dont- ... se/7335606
https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Sh ... 3540272992

- Sherkhan deleted - I found samples, and it doesn't come close to being legitimate metal. You can just post bands like this in the cleansing thread, and we can try to look for samples. Without enough samples they usually can't be deleted, though. Probably better not to mix bands like that in here. Thanks, though - Sherkhan and Strict Nine are nice to have off the site after giving them each a thorough listen.

Needs research. - Black Vein
Genre: Neoclassical/Melodic Death Metal
Location: México, D.F (Mexico)

Seems like they released an EP in 2011 or 2012.

This tweet says one should download it, but there's no link anywhere:
https://twitter.com/BlackVeinBand/statu ... 2579896321

Might just be the random tracks they have on ReverbNation?
Needs more info on what the release is, which tracks belong to it and where it was available at the time. Might've been shared on Facebook, but their page there is dead...

Some more links:

Needs research. - Anceps
Genre: Heavy Metal
Location: Milan, Italy
Band member: Paolo Morbini (bass?)
- a live 1984 song, "Black Hole" is at 13:28 in this video. Not sure if it is from an official live tape or if they have other releases:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fffPOLNAM5E

Needs research. - Leukos
Genre: Symphonic Black Metal
Location: Italy
Band members: Andrea : vocals, Mark Rea : guitars, Pier : Keys, Paolo : bass, Roberto : drums
Discography: Demo 2009 (track listing: Ancient Sun/ Moonshine). A music video was made for the song "Moonshine" (can be seen at the link below).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHLViNxMnlM
- uploader said that it was released on CD. I saved a screenshot of that conversation in GrimWombat's submission, but moderators prefer to get a little bit more info before accepting them.

Only release was 1 track on a compilation of 12 bands - Consacrification
Spoiler: show
Genre: Death Metal
Location: Italy
Band members: Claudio: Vocals, guitar, Ambra: Guitar, PierGiorgio: bass, Pier: drums
Discography: Unknown. Video is for a song called "Vulture Embrace" (2001). Image shown in the video could be the artwork for a CD-single, but I'm not sure:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBch1ooixdg
- have found out that this song was part of a compilation. Need to find out details of it, and mainly whether or not there were less than 7 bands featured on it.

Witcher, I'm pretty convinced that the band Crimson Moon from Switzerland is metal from the one (of the 4 on the EP) song available on YouTube. Feel free to submit them if you'd like to:

Needs research. - Cold Tragedy
Genre: Melodic Death Metal/Metalcore (Deathcore?)
Years active: 2005-about 2012
Location: Deggendorf, Germany
Discography:
Cold Cave EP (2007)
1. Deep Inside
2. The Day She Went Away
3. Into the Night
4. Child of Despair
5. Lost Within Myself

Known lineup:
Cheesa: Bass
Toni: Drums
Dom: Guitar
Maik: Vocals
Marco: Guitar, Vocals (based on the Facebook page, appears to be https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... ndt/557277)

Known links:
https://www.facebook.com/coldtragedy/
https://www.youtube.com/user/coldtragedy
https://web.archive.org/web/20091008210 ... oldtragedy (lists a "free EP": https://i.imgur.com/w3uW6ID.png but no more information is here)

Need some kind of proof of valid release. Sites like Spirit of Metal also list a self titled EP and an album titled "Descendants of the Black Plague". While the s/t EP might exist (I can't find it, even on Soulseek) the album might be dubious as any site that lists it has a random band photo as the cover (see: https://www.spirit-of-metal.com/en/albu ... gue/167160) which leads me to believe it may not be real. The archived MySpace does say they released a free EP but the link is not archived.
