Needs research. - Driada
Genre: Heavy/Power Metal
Location: Burriana, Valencian Community
Active at least since 1988. Here's an exhaustive interview:
https://www.elperiodic.com/burriana/dri ... gre_172549
(By the way, the image below is a flyer, not the demo cover)

J – En la primera época solo pudimos grabar una maqueta con un cuatro pistas de Rafa Gaya.
"By our first epoch we aimed to record a demo in Rafa Gaya's 4-tracks". Was it somehow released?

It may be this one, released in 1991.
1. The Warrior of Time
2. La noche
3. ¿Por qué?
4. Triste amanecer

Known members (at different times):
Héctor Vidre - Vocals (lead)
Javier Zorio - Guitars
Óscar Garrido - Guitars
Raúl Rosell "Visi" - Guitars
Miguel Borja - Bass
José Bergara - Bass
Nano - Drums
Antonio Durá - Drums
Guillermo Roig - Drums (1988-1989)

Driada sounds really good. There's a lot of hinting around that there was a demo release in that article, but I wonder if any of the members could be asked directly if they are on Facebook, or have a current band page that they could be reached at?

Needs research. - S.O.M. (State of Mind)
Genre: Heavy/Stoner Metal (?)
Location: Seattle, Washington, US
Band members: Chris Sleight (guitars - https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... #ui-tabs-1 ), Jacque Hartless (vocals), Corey Allen Petro (guitars), Terry Lee (bass), Rich Sessions (drums)
Discography: Self-titled demo/EP (6 songs, 1994)
Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/release/1721876 ... f-Mind-SOM
"Big Groove" song (not on the tape above) on Corey Petro's ReverbNation page: https://www.reverbnation.com/CoreyPetro ... rtistMusic
Maybe someone here would know more: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2467393 ... 561053217/

Needs research. - Armageddon
Genre: Thrash Metal
Location: Canberra, Australia / Norway?
- there are 2 songs here, maybe by 2 different bands named Armageddon. "Night Time, Die Time" is from 1989 and is definitely the Australian band. Members went on to play in Alchemist, Precursor, and Dement Ensemble.
"Why" (1985 - at the same link) was featured on a Norwegian TV program.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCinul3 ... armageddon

Needs research. - Deviant Plan
Genre: Unknown, probably metal
Location: Canberra, Australia
Band member: https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... erg/197213
Release: "Stage One: Corrupting the Void" demo tape (year unknown; side A contains one song, "Corrupting the Void"). Photos: https://www.facebook.com/secretdevilzin ... 11/?type=3
- https://www.facebook.com/secretdevilzin ... 52/?type=3 (it might be worth looking into some of the other tapes pictured here as well)
- gig from 1998 listed here: https://cs2.wiki/wiki/Metal_for_the_Brain
- by typing in "Deviant Plan" "Canberra" on Google, there are some search results. I haven't looked through all of them yet.

Added. - Threshold
Spoiler: show
Listed genre: Heavy Metal
Location: Springwood, Australia (not to be confused with 2 other bands on the site by this name from Australia)
Band members: Shane Donnely (vocals), Craig Fritsch (guitars, vocals), Lucas Boland (guitars), Julian Turpin (bass, vocals), Mat Witham (drums, vocals)
Discography: Self-titled full-length CD (1996, Yobcore Records)

Reading the interview I assume that Javier Zorio (J) recorded the demo. I've finally found the band he is now in, so I'm trying to reach him:
https://www.facebook.com/Dr-Jaus-106668564588470/

If this fails, I willtry reaching Miguel Borja, Visi or Nano through Entropía (but I'm not entirelly sure they recorded it, anyway):

Thanks - message sent.

(update) - he said that the Mindscape demo from the early '90s will be released on 7" sometime pretty soon, and that he'd try to send auto samples over sometime. One of their other members had responded to me a while back and didn't have the recording in digital format, but described them as Thrash Metal/Crossover.

There's one that is/was for sale on an auction site here: https://funbid.com.hk/yahoojp/auctions/ ... =534291961

For some reason the pictures show in the image search but not when the page loads, so I re-uploaded them to Imgr here:
https://imgur.com/5qoYzVf
https://imgur.com/Zg09n3t

It's a 'venue-only' release so you're probably not going to find a shop listing. Sale page notes its a one-song CD.

Spoiler: show
Recently we had the pleasure of discovering another very good high quality Quebec group. Made up of three young musicians from the Trois Rivières region, INTRUDER has existed as a unit for a year and a half. DOO (vocals, bass and keyboards), BOB ST-LAURENT (drums and vocals) and SMURF (guitar and vocals) form this ensemble which plays rather progressive Heavy Metal. Strongly inspired by RUSH, IRON MAIDEN and VAN HALEN; in spectacle the group plays mainly pieces of these three formations in addition to some original pieces which they composed since the recent arrival of the guitarist.
We can not fault the three musicians who are very talented, certainly among the best in Quebec at present. Their stage presence is also very interesting despite the fact that they are only a trio. The quality and intensity of the sound they give off are quite surprising for such a young band.
The originality of the group lies in the fact that they are not afraid to explore new trends and new musical rhythms. This is mainly found in their compositions which are very progressive in the sense that they combine pure HM with other musical tendencies. In addition, during their shows they also dare to play pieces that are rarely heard in clubs, it is to their credit.
It is really very encouraging to discover talent like this here and I think it is really worth supporting and encouraging them, their talent is really worth highlighting and rewarding.

Looking for any further info from anyone who's more familiar with German labels in the late '80's/early '90's.

Re: Redrise

I've had a draft around for that one for a while but have never had any luck finding samples.

The demo definitely exists, there's one for sale here:
http://genka-market.jp/?cn=100125&shc=10026058
It's the type that requires a monthly fee, so you can't actually buy it though.

The bands old website is here:
https://web.archive.org/web/20030814005 ... /~redrise/
Not much info left unfortunately.

Also, the last sentence of the blurb at Japan Metal Indies is more like:
"Nakamura and Inoue formed the band with the aim of finding a sound that was more "heavy metal" than BLINDMAN so it had a sound that inherited the harder side of BLINDMAN."

What would be considered acceptable proof?
