Grim, it seems like Tantrum could probably be submitted as well.

I'll put together a submission for Tantrum.

The Pyper CD came today, and it's heavy/thrash metal. Do you need me to rip and upload it for you, Spooky? It's very influenced by early 90s Megadeth (Think Countdown) with some 80s heavy/power metal thrown in, to my ears. I'll put together a submission for that one, as well.

Ritera responded again saying the rehearsal was a private release and not published.

Let's remove Tantrum, then. Sorry about that.

Needs research. - Scream Your Paradoxon
(it appears they have a 2014 EP release. Sounded like on the passable side of metalcore from the song I heard. If any of these bands are metal and there isn't enough information that can be found, they can be added to the research thread.)

These bands were listed on the Hans Kleine webpage (mostly bands from the Lower Saxony area of Germany) only by name, city, and year of formation, and aren't on the site. Needs research. - Acariasis
Location: Michigan, US ("contact us through Longbow Records" - located in Mattawan, Michigan)
Genre: Groove/Death Metal
Band members: Matt (bass), Ryan (guitars/vocals), Scott (vocals), Andrew (drums), Aaron (guitars)
- here is a video for their 1997 demo. According to the hand-numbering on one of the images, it's the tape's second pressing (35 copies). Tape contains 6 songs with generic titles: (track listing: Eight/ Two/ Four/ One/ Three/ Six). Between the track listing sounding like a work-in-progress and the cover art looking like it was drawn by a 3-year-old, should probably get some more information about it before submitting.

Needs research. - Poltergeist
Location: Costa Rica
Genre: Death Metal
- Formed in 2019. One single out so far, "Devil's Castle". One to check back on later:

The following are obscure heavy metal bands from San Martín, Buenos Aires, Argentina, found on the YouTube channel of Soledad "Sole" Ramos, ex-bassist of Krom and current bassist of Inox. It's likely that at least some of these bands have released at least a demo. If someone gets in contact with her, it could be great to also find out the full track listing of the Krom "Golpes y limaduras" CD (of which a M.A. page already exists).

Maybe there are reproductions of the tape covers of these unknown spanish thrash demos in the booklet of such compilation

I think Dead Zone was the only one of the unlisted bands that showed a j-card in the booklet. Still looking to find out if these bands had a release outside of that compilation: Mosh, Bloody Souls, Thrashylvania.

Could anyone who bought this comp. write down the band members, so someone could try to contact them to see about being added to the site? Thanks.

Nu-metal. - Over Soul
Spoiler: show
Genre: ? (early); Nu-Metal (later)
Status: Unknown
Country: France
Location: ?
Alternate spelling: Over Soul
Year of formation: 1992
Years active: 1992-?

Best regards ❤️. Anyone who can get the MP3's or WAV's of their first albums, I would really appreciate it a lot because I'm intrigued to hear if those releases also are Nu-Metal or better yet Thrash/Groove Metal since that I sent them to delete two months ago based on the later albums. Thanks :):

Since OverSoul is blacklisted, if someone ends up tracking down their early releases and they turn out to be metal, just post here or in the appeals for it to be removed, along with samples of the full releases.

Thrashylvania yes.... I found the cover (in bad and small quality) a couple of years ago before my hard disk crashed

Needs research. - Olmedo Cruz Band
Genre: Hard Rock/Heavy Metal (early) / Heavy Metal (later)
Status: Active
Country: Panama
Location: ?
Alternate spelling: Olmedo Cruz
Year of formation: 2013
Years active: 2013-now
Last signed label: not on label

Olmedo Cruz, guitarist of Guerrero Medieval with his solo project. While the first album is nothing special (you can listen to it on youtube), the second album and the last 4-songs CD Ep sounds more heavy metal. But I can't find a full tracklist for his second album "Caminos Lejanos": I only know there are 8 songs in total but only 4 are available for listening. Actually there aren't many other useful information on Internet as the shared audios and infos are quite scarce. The release year of the first album is confirmed, as well as for their last 4-songs Ep "Vuelve" but the second full lenght CD is a little bit doubtful: it started to appear on CD around november 2017 while the - few - uploaded songs range from 2018 to 2020. Anyway I al searching for the tracklist of the second album to complete the page

Just realized that they are on the site. I was typing the name Thrashsylvania before, the way they're listed on a couple of sites. Thanks, though. Since BlackFlag had that Mosh demo already, it seems likely it had been released - or circulated in the underground, anyway. Kennermahn, any chance you could list the band members of Mosh and Bloody Souls from that 2CD set?

Hard rock. - Crystal Witch

__
Question:
What happens to all those bands that don't get added? Do they get blacklisted with a note linked to the post on this forum? If not, how do you keep track of them when they're removed from the main list?

If most of their discography has been found and they're determined not to be a metal band, they get blacklisted. Sometimes they aren't blacklisted in cases where it's decided they're simply not worth pursuing for some reason but we'd welcome a submission that contains their music / proof of metalness if someone is able to acquire it.

Crystal Witch information -

https://open.spotify.com/artist/5BmPM93yXoj3o72m40oUnj
https://www.discogs.com/artist/5561468-Crystal-Witch
(haven't heard the '92 release, but the '98 release isn't metal)

Got it. Thanks, Spook.

No, not metal--far from it! Interesting band, though. Thanks for the links. There's a certain FFTR-era Savatage vibe to their music...
Will try to find the demo.

The following 3 bands are from a rare 1990 compilation called "Face the Truth" (on Vomit Tapes). 7 of the 10 bands featured on it are on the site and are from Finland, playing mostly thrash metal. I assume these bands are from Finland, and there's a good chance that they also played metal, and have at least one demo out in the late '80s or 1990:
Needs research. - Manic Depression
- song: "Mad Man"
Needs research. - Parasite

These two are Dutch bands that https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... oor/447798 (vocals) and https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... ter/447789 (guitars) play or played in, heavy/power metal/hard rock genres. Didn't find either of them on Facebook. Leaving a comment to ask John in the YouTube videos might be a way to find out about release info if nothing else can be found online (haven't really checked the Seventh Seal FB page yet). Please add if enough information can be found to do so:
Needs research. - Seventh Seal
"Liberty" EP/demo (2006)
"Baptized by Fire" album (2012)
"Time will Come" EP (U.S. Metal Records)
"Hellchild" second album (?)

Needs research. - Hookwater
- there are less references to this project online. An album, "Dream Deceiver" is mentioned in 3 videos that guitarist John Hookwater uploaded. There is cover art shown, and from one of the pictures in the video slideshow it looks like it may have won an album-of-the-month nomination from some organization.

This one has vocalist Adrian (first link at the top of this post), but not John Hookwater:

Added. - Codex XIII

Listed genre: Black / Death Metal
Discography: Into The Gate Of The Demons (1995, cassette)
Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/release/1638041 ... The-Demons

I've actually ordered all three of these cassettes. Note that Google-fu doesn't generate a damned thing for any of them. Hoping the inlays will yield a glimmer of value. Assuming metalness is clear, this then raises the question of validity due to lack of qualifying proof of VR. I will keep you all posted on the outcome.

Thanks, BlackFlag. Do you think it would be worth keeping them on this list for research, or better to cross off in your opinion?
