Needs research. - Jetliner
Location: Čačak, Šumadija, Serbia
Genre: Heavy Metal
Band members: Vladimir Radovic, Sasa Rakic, Aleksandar Tomasevic, Aleksandar Andjelkovic (none on the site by this spelling)
Discography: "Witchcraft" 1-song demo (1991). According to an additional source this demo contained a single song. Wondering about the release status of it.
Uploaded here by band member Vladimir (who later played in a non-metal band called Hobi): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiZzJL-bTgM
Additional info, translated from video: we were 16, 17 years old, we got into old school heavy, we had a lot of equipment and we persistently practiced in the dirty basement under the video store.... then that noise moved to the streets and that was it. Those were good times. Aco taught me the first drumming steps:-) I would like to know what is happening with these people now......

Needs research. - Heavy Soul
Location: Lidköping, Västra Götaland, Sweden
Genre: Speed Metal
Band members: Alfred Karlsson-Rhythm guitar, Alexander Bolin-Vocals, Kenny Guatavsson-Drums backing vocals, Valter Qvick- bass. According to a second source, the lead guitarist is Melwin Nätt (none listed on the site by this spelling)
- New band that uploaded a song to YouTube a week ago. Really good stuff, other than the production as it comes across on YouTube (maybe a bitrate loss at some step): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dohG8FoHGk . One to check back on later.

Needs research. - Mysterium
Location: Finland (likely Kokkola, Keski-Pohjanmaa)

Keyboards, Piano – Harri Nissi

Needs research. - Wild Witch
Location: Erfurt (ex-GDR), Germany
Genre: Heavy Metal
Band member: https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... mann/31327
Discography: Demo 1988 (recorded in May; track listing: Come on Rock/ Welcome/ Teufelswahn/ Danger of Death)
https://imgur.com/a/dFbfhpC
From the Corroseum: "A highly obscure and rather unknown female fronted Heavy Metal band". A tape was found in the inheritance of Matthias Hopke, a radio host of the "Tendenz Hard bis Heavy" show that passed away in '21. "Wild Witch “secretly“ had recorded a 4 track Demo in May ’88, stylistically influenced by Warlock/Accept with German vocals, that makes them appearing accidentally sounding slightly like Plattform, but way heavier though." Below that on the page it says 'self-released'. Maybe they recorded it in secret (because of the laws there at the time), but distributed a certain number of copies - or possibly only given to a radio show for airplay. Seemed worth adding in here anyway, and it would be great to hear the tape.

Genre: Death Metal
https://www.facebook.com/people/ABM-Ano ... 564223093/
https://soundcloud.com/toruto
https://www.youtube.com/@venelinzl
Compilation appearance: "Брод", "Pink Delirium" on <i>Bulgarian Extreme Metal Assault</i> (Funeral Hymns, 2023, cassette)
Another comp. appearance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ew6yOGrJLPA
- I scrolled through their Facebook page for a few minutes, and so far didn't come across a valid release. If they had one, though, feel free to submit.

Needs research. - Diaspora
Location: Germany
Genre: Thrash Metal
Band members: Pakko (Guitar), Benne (Guitar), Simon (Drums), Julian (Bass Guitar & Vocals)
- new band. They've put 2 songs on YouTube for streaming, "Expelled" (last year), and "Deceit" (this month - solo credited to Endrik - not sure if this person is a band member). Decent stuff, one to check back on for valid releases.

They had split up in 1989 or '90, since Mezzrow's 1990 album thanks list includes "Morpheus (R.I.P.)"

Aren’t Rayzick Ruzer already listed? https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Ra ... 3540447226
I’ve added Yokohama as their location as that is where Studio Two-Up is located and their only gig listing I could find was at Yokohama 7th Avenue.

Some recent Japanese demos sold on Yahoo Auctions but as yet unlisted (and not blacklisted):
Needs research. - Two Cutter

Discography: ‘-Demo-’ (Demo tape,’90’s)

Added. - Sandra Scream

Added. - Passed-Away
Spoiler: show

Aloof, if they write back I'll ask them about releases as well as samples. Thanks.

Needs research. - Eskapism
Location: Västerbotten, Sweden
Genre: per all indicators, pseudo-punk/alternative rock
Band members: Fredrik Holmgren Bass, Vocals (backing)
Jonas Ericson Drums, Vocals (backing)
Jonas Nordin Vocals, Guitars
Discography: "Alexander Lukasar" Full-length - 1995
"Symtomen" Full-length - 1996
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AI19CD_SD0E
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97tq9e6th1A
https://myspace.com/eskapism666
https://www.discogs.com/artist/4388235-Eskapism ("Reminiscence" listed here is for a different band)
- samples are far from metal, but rather that shit that some people were calling punk rock in the mid-'90s. Band had been on the site, listed as crossover. Submitter was guesswork "champ" thrashmania80gr, a.k.a. jimbo_thrash, whose shoddy work has required significant clean-up more than a decade after finding himself Dursted. He'd pretty much throw anything that looked remotely metal into queue (and seemingly anything back then was accepted by site rodent witcher). Probably not even worth making a post for them here, but since full albums weren't found, am doing so. Not that it matters much, if at all, but both albums are also listed as punk on Discogs.

This band is definitely not metal. Someone needs to probably check all the bands submitted by thrashmania80gr for metalness and/or genre modification, I know how things used to be done in the band queue.

That's a pretty big task to propose, as his submission list is nearly 1,000 bands long and many of them pre-date our usual easy-access music sites like Bandcamp or Spotify. I doubt there's going to be any concerted clean-up push for him anytime soon, but if you come across blatant examples, send them to the cleansing thread.

Needs research. - The Shovel and the Fury
Genre: Melodic Death Metal/Metalcore?
Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Members:

Not much to find about this band, but their ReverbNation mentions a demo that was recorded in November 2009:
https://www.reverbnation.com/theshovelthefury

Mostly needs proof for VR.

Needs research. - Castigator
Genre: Death/Thrash Metal?
Location: Fort Worth, Texas

Former name of Halopent
https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Ha ... 3540287157

According to an old sub, their 2006 demo was actually first released under the Castigator name with slightly different tracklist:
Image
1. Demonic Molestation...
2. ...Satanic Fetus
3. Septic Torture
4. Morbid Feast
5. Awaken Decayed/Regurgitated Human Flesh
6. Post-Mortal Suffering

Needs proof of VR, maybe samples.

Needs research. - Chemical Warfare
Genre: Thrash Metal
Location: Teramo, Abruzzo, Italy

Members:

Might've released a demo in 2013, there's a pic of a single CD, but no context.
Image
1. Murderer Impulse
2. Atomic Zombie
3. Prototype Human Hunter
4. Into Radiation

Tried to contact them on Facebook, but it's been a month and no reply.
https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id ... 49&fref=ts

At least there's a sample:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LsAf7ApXDZI

Needs proof for VR.

Needs research. - Deacons Lodge
Location: Clermont-Ferrand, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France
Genre: Nu-Metal (?) M.A. had Gothic/Thrash Metal listed, but this seems doubtful.
post- https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Ch ... 3540288712 band, accepted to the site in '09
Discography: "Ira Furor Brevis Est" CD (2009, Metalchimie Creation)

9 years following the Cheyenne Shaker '96 demo, they released their only known album. Cheyenne Shaker genre had been way off (heavy/thrash metal). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okVH5_SU630
Could use a re-evaluation.

Needs research. - Aggressive Behaviour
Location: Germany
Genre: Thrash Metal
- formed in 1993. There are a couple of songs for streaming, and a demo is supposed to be released soon (doesn't mention what format). One of the songs sounds a lot like Slayer "Expendable Youth", but not as good.

Needs research. - Rural Devastation
Location: France
Genre: Death Metal
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xJVEyooUbs
https://brutalmaya.blogspot.com/2014/08 ... -live.html
(Translation from the blog page above with Google Translate: "Country metal, really, with social/political texts... Shit, I love my metal with pieces of Satan in it! They came from Bats-Tursan (Landes), the demo dates from 1994. Before calling themselves Rural Devastation, they called themselves Uncivilized and did (at least) one concert under this name, the link of which you will find below . For the record, they were also called DeathCore From Space and Glower. I don't know if it's really important, but now that I've written it, I don't have to keep it in my head anymore!!!!")
- Not quality stuff, but I figured it would be okay to submit. Antioch thought that some riffs sounded familiar, and that it should be checked for possible plagiarism. There was one riff early in the song on YouTube that reminded me of Accept "Princess of the Dawn", but otherwise it just sounded like generic no-budget metal riffing somewhat directionlessly.

Needs research. - Pain Tolerance
Genre: Death Metal
- 1 song from a recording project uploaded to YouTube by one of the two people that played on it. Wondering if it was released, or just recorded.

Another abandoned rejection from back in the days.

Released a demo in 1990:
Buried Alive
1. Buried Alive
2. America the Beautiful
3. Victory
4. Rulers of the Air
5. Porno
6. Dread Warrior

I found a copy on EBay, but nothing else and I don't spend a fucking $100 (+$26 for shipping) on that.

Band line-up:
Ron Cupples - Bass
"Moshin" Mark Clifford - Drums
Ross Assink - Guitars (lead)
Mike Zettle - Vocals, Guitars

That seller is offloading lots of potential leads for stuff that hasn't been listed here yet. Trouble is I'm not interested in spending hundreds of dollars on demo cassettes. Anyway...

Needs research. - Entourage
Genre: Shred / Neoclassical Metal?
Location: Bethel Park, PA, USA
Lyrical Themes: Christianity, Instrumental

Line-up:
Vince Palamara – All guitars, bass, and bass pedals on “Babylonia”
Rob McHirella – Drums

These two releases use the same exact cover art, but there's a disparity in tracklists.

Demo '88:
Visitors of the Dawn [James 1:27]
Sinbad
Dark Ages [I John 1:5]
The Shuffle
Babylonia [Rev 17:5]

Also Demo '88:
Sinbad
Monastery
Skyward
Government Communication
The Wind and Rain
Fated Souls
Sapphire
Visitors of the Dawn
Macabre
Valley of Death

I think, that he will upload some samples of Entourage there, sooner or later, as he does it basically with all of his metal demo tapes. I believe, that he could be also the seller on Ebay, since a lot of the demos , which appear there, were also reviewed in his Youtube profile: Angelica, Equinox etc.

Regarding Entourage, there is a review in Gray Matter #5 zine that states that musically there are many styles involved: progressive metal, along with End Over End/U2, Middle East and Irish tones, with vocals comparable to "an underdeveloped John Denver." It is the project of Vince Palamara: https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... ara/886976 , m.a. username vincebethel. There are several Entourage rehearsal songs here: https://www.youtube.com/c/VincePalamara ... =entourage. Haven't listened to many, but so far sounds like they probably shouldn't be added.

At this rate, I'm thinking Entourage could be blacklisted. It appears to be a mix of Hard Rock, Prog Rock and Shred with intermittent Metal. There are some heavy moments, but Entourage seems chiefly focused on shredding solos rather than riffs:

Needs research. - China White
Location: United Kingdom
"China White released their first studio album in 1989. This album was partly recorded at Maida Vale Studios as the band won a section on Friday Rock Show. These recordings have up until now been unavailable but on the 1st of February 2017 they were re-released again by OuijaRecords."
https://soundcloud.com/ouijarecords/set ... -your-name
- so far, can't find information about the original 1989 album or OuijaRecords re-release outside of this stream.
Biff Byford (Saxon) did some backing vocals for them, and supposedly produced the recording.

Genre: Death Metal
- 2 songs, "Waiting for Hell" and "The Revelation" are featured on a compilation of death and death/thrash metal bands that was put out this year on the Detroit, Michigan label Noxious Ruin. Pretty much everything on these comps comes from '80s and '90s demo releases for bands that are on M.A., this being the lone exception.

Contacting Noxious Ruin would probably be the best way to go about finding out about this band and their discography.

The band was formed in the mid/late 80's under the name B.V.S. (Bloody Vicious Slaughter) and between the last days of August and November 1988 they changed the name to Daemaniac. Under this new name the band recorded a demo in December 1988 (with two songs) and played a few shows. Two of these shows (held in November 1988) were distributed in D.I.Y. (as well as its demo) through tape traders, who even went outside the UK. The band's sound (through these two shows) is a little difficult to define, because in some songs they sound like Thrash/Crossover with some parts of proto-grind, in others they demonstrate a Thrash/Speed with passages of Hardcore Punk and Traditional Heavy Metal. I don't know how the demo sounds, but you can check it out in these two links (the track Twisted Blue is not one in the demo):

Thank you for that information about Daemaniac. It sounds like metal/punk to me. Feel free to submit them if you'd like to.

I'm not sure if the uploader included the full compilation on YouTube, but 2 bands featured on it that are on the site are Hypnosic and Stihija.

Here's another Dominator recording:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtcVoVLN504

There are two songs and they are a little different from the style of the one that entered the collection. I don't know if they consider the first recording (Anđelov Pokolj, which was included in the compilation), if it would be part of this demo, or even if there is another distinct recording as Demo I. It's need confirmation if this demo was released.

I sent a message to the channel owner about some bands (mainly Corrupt and Anacreotic), but unfortunately I didn't get a response from both. He only answered me about one band, Mind Rape (which I don't know if it's on this topic), and that unfortunately their demo "Body Graveyard" recorded in 1991 was never published. The band recorded the demo and shared it only with close people, as the band broke up shortly after recording it. The demo can be seen here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zqpcs6aXZA8

Until this demo is officially released (I hope it can be released soon), it should remain blacklisted.

Thanks so much for looking into Dominator and those other ex-Yugoslavia bands. Hopefully information about Dominator's demo or demos can be found eventually. In the meantime, the original post has been updated with that YouTube link.

Mind Rape's guitarist is on the site, and he played in several other bands as well: https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... ote/378659 . They sound good.

Speaking of Serbian bands, I'm trying to also find out if these were released:
